It's not a big deal as long as you're playing other teams in the same boat. The problem lies when you play a team in your scenario. But you can't go around worrying about you will and will not get injured. There will always be some physical mismatches on the field.

I agree on your take of asking kids to play roaming the halls. But those coaches with 16 kids are desperate. And desperate times call for desparate measures
