What about Sam Borchers?

I know he did a 4:03 in high school at the Nike Outdoor Nationals.

Did he then never break 4:00 for the mile while at Penn State?

Pretty sure he did a 4:01 his freshman year at Penn State. Not...

Nah, I'd rather not.

Yawn. . . . . . . . let's not.

Generate some talk that is.

It's winter. Who cares about track or cross country?

I'll be interested in running around mid March.

Never heard of him

Maybe you should tell us "unenlightened" folks, who this is and how he is involved in SW Ohio Track & Field.

No.

If it were 1st and 2nd place runners pulling such a stupid "lets help the stumbling guy in need" antics, I would DQ the both of them.

That altruistic help a guy in need cr&p should be reserved for...

Darn; when you said Borchers, I thought you were referring to Sam Borchers

I think he is my hero. Even when he's no longer running in college, I think I'm hearing his name. Yep. He's definitely my hero - winning the mile in the Nike indoor national and Nike outdoor...

Agreed. No need for a DQ on that one

I don't have any problem with that one. The person being helped was almost to the line and she had some semblance of motor control. She was a bit wobbly but at least she could move her legs. Plus,...

I like this one

Of all the scenarios I've read on this thread, I think I like this one the best. D1 should have the smallest number of schools. It makes more sense for DII and D111 to have more schools.

I think it means. . . .

I think it means: Overtly Technical Computations

He has a brother called: Subliminally Sloppy Premonitions

Come on, Man.

What about those Girls from Green. CCRunner1990 was extolling their impressive accomplishments. He exalted them to the heights of greatness. He had them as the most under-rated team in the whole...

I agree with psycho_dad on this one

After seeing the video (Wisconsin girls team), the girl giving help should have left the the wobbly girl on the ground. I can see trying to help initially. I get it. It's human nature to want to...

I agree

Spot on. Individuals matter. Words matter. Experience matters. It's easy to run over your head during the 1st mile of a state meet. Even really good runners can easily make that mistake. Good...

OVTC Nailed it

He not only picked the trifecta correctly he nearly got the point total of those teams exactly correct. Amazing actually.

The Girls of Green

CCRunner1990 was spot on with his prediction eh?

He was predicting top 5. I think they finished the meet 2nd to last.

I don't think its about folks noticing or paying attention to the "big...

No Doubt about it

In the 1980s, Elder did make running cool. I hated Elder then because we could never beat them. But, they had it together. They were bad and they knew it. Great fans; great running tradition;...

I think St. X will win

Region 4 was unusually weak this year (not as much depth as normal and the top 7 fastest guys weren't as fast as we usually see in past years).

It's not like St. X got waxed at the Regional. They...

What was his name?

I think I ran against his father in the GCL Freshman Meet in 1981 at Sycamore Junior High School.

Shane Meredith was 1st, some guy named Pfeiffer was 2nd, Rick Merk was 3rd, and I was 4th. Fun...

What Time Does it Start?

What time do the 110 Meter Hurdles start on Friday 30th of May at Welcome Stadium?

I checked Baumspage, but my computer, for some reason, won't open the link.

I don't think so.

I don't think you were exaggerating at all. I just saw the video. When the St. X anchor leg took the baton, he was easily 50 meters behind Mason.

Wow.

That is very impressive. Couldn't quite catch those pesky Carmel boys. But, a great performance nonetheless.

Agreed.

That is a very logical outlook. I 100% agree with psychodad on this one.

It's not meant as an insult.

The coach had solid talent in 2009 and 2010. Hawes performed well as a freshman and showed lots of promise. Bokeno ALWAYS ran well. Both looked emaciated, exhausted, and run into the ground. ...

You guys. . . . Come on.

You're so busy correcting each other over meaningless details. Were any of you at any of the races at MVCTC today?

If so, please enlighten us as to who the qualifying teams were.

Like any of...
