Uh Bellbrook would have no chance against Trotwood or Alter. Just shows you how far out of touch with reality sports writers are.

playboi12 10-08-18 07:05 PM

I think it would be a fun game to watch.

petroglyph 10-08-18 10:43 PM

State pollsters,no doubt, are well aware of the hellish cauldron that's SWBL football..T-M and Alter are coasting on their reputations and soft ooc schedules

Buckeye Elite 10-08-18 11:29 PM

This is skewed, nobody in their right mind would pick Canfield to win state

Coasting on reputation and soft ooc lol!!! Our first 3 games we played Winton Woods 6-1, defending D1 champ pick central 6-1 and simeon undefeated. We are 3rd in the region despite 2 loses. Your clueless lol. Defending state champs.

Ville-ified 10-09-18 06:08 AM

The “your clueless” part was doubly funny.

Nothing gets past you - even sarcasm right upside your head.

Will be interested to see how Chaminade can finish this season after losing their transfer stars. Might be on the fringe of missing the playoffs should they lose 2 of their last 3. That being said, they are getting a good amount of help from level 2 points. Bellbrook has looked good this year, but I still think they are yet to be truly tested. Should be an exciting last couple weeks of the season.

If you consider Alter scoring at least 45 points against every non-D1 team and winning each of those games by at least 25 to be coasting.

Rusty_Shackleford 10-09-18 10:14 AM

Fenwick Fan here. Would love to play Bellbrook. Also Fenwick just beat Cj 34-19...
But CJ clearly the better team in AP Polls

tribefan23 10-09-18 10:30 AM

No idea how Canfield is #1 when another team in their Region (Kenston) has looked just as impressive, if not more impressive. Kenston hasn't played a close game yet this year. Their offense is prolific this year, and with SVSM out of the playoff picture (crazy), that region is ripe for the taking

America 10-09-18 10:36 AM

Alter and Trotwood would put running clocks on Bellbrook. The Eagles will still get waxed by DeSales or Hartley. They aren't exactly blowing out anyone except a 1-6 Fairborn team. That's why it's called the Slow White Boy League...

Fairmont is a playoff team this year, (Alter had them beat) nobody expected Centerville to be 0-7. Both Schools have 1000-1200 more boys than Alter. Twood has played an extremely tough OOC. They're fortunate they beat Winton Woods and that WW is winning of they wouldn't make the playoffs at all.

Hammerdrill 10-09-18 12:10 PM

Yeah these AP polls are never very accurate. Creates conversation though. :thumb:

How bout enjoying the fact that 4 of the top 7 teams are Dayton teams? Dayton getting some love.

NeoFB18 10-09-18 01:02 PM

Canfield has become a solid program. D3 is setup for them to win it all as there are no real giants in this division.

Check what Canfield did last year -- undefeated regular season, lost in the regional final (state quarter) to SVSM narrowly. That gave them a strong starting point in the eye of the media, and an undefeated record to date puts them at the top in the "Pavlovian" media poll model.

I'm going to assume you haven't seem Canfield play.

They've had about 17 or so regular season wins in a row. Lost to a very solid St Vs last year.

No reason for them not to be #1.

Basically, someone has to do it until the teams line up against each other.

Don't get your nickers all tied up. If they are both that good, they'll settle it on the field

I am pretty sure Alter would beat Bellbrook by 3 Touch downs

King Arthur 10-10-18 06:27 AM

I am pretty sure Bellbrook has ducked Alter in the regular season for about 10 years now.

#2 my arse. They likely couldn't beat a single team in the top 20.

Looks like dropping that piddly DVI team that CJ played the last two years in week 1 has helped them.....

Alter and Bellbrook was a great rivalry while it lasted. I think it was about 8 or 9 years and Alter dominated them except a loss maybe in the 2nd or 3rd year they played not sure. Bellbrook won't play Alter in football or basketball which is a shame because that's a great gate and would bring a packed house in the gym or the stadium

True as that may be, outside of a play off game, they really have no business playing each other. Alter wouldn’t get much of a challenge and both sides would gain nothing from the experience. Alter and trotwood are content in punching up in class whenever they can.
