They did. I think Goshen took 2nd and Withrow 3rd.

Aiken won the consolation bracket over WCH but both of them deserved to be in the championship side. Oh well...

I didn't get to attend but how did WCH look

TackleTrap 07-16-17 10:43 AM

Everyone connected with holding this event wish to thank all the teams (and their supporters attending) for being a part of our 7on7/Linemen Challenge. The best part was to see the interaction of athletes from all the schools during down times and breaks. Thanks again!

I wasn't there yesterday. But i did work an event similar in college, which help my fondness of high school football grow. I like 7 on 7 because you see schools you might not see again during the year. Kinda like a networking event for football

Rank the top 10 teams from the 7 on 7

LICKING COUNTY FAN 07-16-17 11:55 AM

I watched all of the teams but could not really rank them.

Green out of Kentucky impressed me as did Fairland(Until they lost #17 because of a slight injury.

Aiken should've been in the championship bracket? The had 1 win and 2 losses so they didn't qualify. Their defense got shredded all day. In the consolation championship Aiken's coaches were the refs. Speaking of refs they walked out on the tournament around noon because they did not get paid.

There was a lot of good competition and balance .Lockland did well. Goshens JV team beat withrow. Hughes gave Goshen their only loss of the day.Washington Court House looked REALLY good to me. West Hi looks better than last season. Green county and North College Hill looked solid.

Goshen's JV team didn't beat Withrow. The varsity did in the championship bracket but the JVs only played 4 teams (West Hi, Blan, Lockland and NCH) and they went 0-4. If the kids relayed information correctly I had them 31-11 against Blan, 16-11 to west, 21-7 to NCH and idk the score but they lost to Lockland on a last minute play.

Off_Tackle08 07-17-17 05:10 AM

I will agree that WCH looked solid offensively. D couldn't hold it down but they had 1 coach, maybe 2 working defense and 4 guys with play sheets signaling in plays and focusing on O... my guess is they focus on one side of the ball. They should have been in the winners bracket. Their lineman looked solid too. I noticed Goshen was short a few senior lineman (Arnold/Ramey)... vacations? Baseball? Idk.
