I think Mike Kordel will lead the way for this young team. Mike was a state contender last year and rank in the top 20. They swim tommorrow againt University School. Hopefully we can get a fan or two out there.

LETS GO EAGLES

US 128- 58 St. Ed's-ouch!

It was a good meet for Ed's though, to swim against the best team north of Columbus. Playing the best during the regular season always results in good showings in the postseason. Good luck the rest of the way.

Reserve 94-92 Ed's

Reserve was pretty much a 1 swimmer team. I dont know his name, but he gave WRA a lot of their points.

Ed's swims against Gilmour Thursday, their third straight away meet. Thats a lot of driving out to the east side, Im glad i dont drive the bus.

Score on US meet was pretty dominating. Hopefully the Eagles regroup and get after the rest of their schedule.

Honestly, something like that had to be expected. US has the hands down best team north of Columbus. But you've got to have a tough schedule, it pays off in the postseason.

yea because univeristy school adn st. ed's almost count as swim teams, X has one of the hardest practices of the year before they swim them (US) , then they kill them @ the meet, and then they do the king of the hill practice with them adn destroy them again

Yeah having a tough schedule really pays off in that grueling post season. What the **** are you talking about, there is no such thing as rankings for the post season in swimming. Everybody goes in with the same chance of getting second. It might matter how many tough teams you swim in season, oh wait no it doesn't. Please don't talk unless you have something intelligent to say.

Are you joking? Have you ever competed in any sport? Having a difficult regular season schedule can make a big difference when it comes to the postseason. What good does scheduling a bunch of cupcake teams do? Then your swimmers swim off events, and aren't tested until they get to sectionals or districts, and then have to contend with better competition than they have seen all year. That's the way it is in all sports, if you don't know that, then apparently you aren't much of an authority on scheduling. Why do you think teams like Benedictine schedule Ed's and Ignatius in football? Because they think they will win? Maybe, but moreso to toughen their team up mentally. Look at their results. Same reason good teams like US, UA, Xavier, swim eachother despite the geographic inconvenience.

Xavier has one of the best swim teams in the nation, nobody from Ohio is expected to beat them. If you think that a team sucks just because they aren't up to that level, you are ignorant.

on a more serious note please stop talking about swimming like there is some sort of playoff, cause there isnt. regular season schedule doesnt matter all that much due to the lack of competition that is present in some of the districts. oh btw we swim one hard meet a year and last time i checked we have won six state titles in a row so it must matter how hard the of a schedule one has. a lot of our meets we cant even swim our fastest guys because of the lack of competition that we swim. you may think that US is a quality team but in reality they just arent.

Last time I checked, third in the state, almost second, is pretty good. Try telling the teams that finished below that that third isn't any good. Don't be so ignorant to think that just because a team isn't as good as yours means that they aren't good at all.

Oh, and on another note, I doubt you swim for St. Xavier. If you actually did, you would respect other teams for how hard they have worked to get where they are.

are we talking about football?
i thought this was a swimming forum
anyways...
i don't think having a hard schedule affects a team that much. in other sports it may be more important to have a harder schedule so the team can build comradery between players and that type of stuff, but come on man swimming is one of the most individual sports there is. look on the swimming forum, people want to know what individuals will be good for each team. in swimming there could be someone who doesn't swim in a meet all year and they could beat someone who won a bunch of hard meets. sure experience is great but if you're faster you're faster. harder practices and coaches who can tell you how to improve your stroke may have a better arguement than harder meets when it comes to effecting how well some one does in the post season.

i doubt u r really fast at swimming. "lets relate swimming to football...." because they are almost the same sport. i have a really cool idea, explain 2 me y st.x swims their off events in almost EVERY meet up to districts and wins state 6 times in a row, and then u can tell anyone about how the schedual effects the "post-season."

your right about me not swimming for st x. almost as right as you are about having a strong schedule effecting the "postseason" play of a swim team. i guess that means that i do swim for st x and about stregth of schedule that might matter. a true champion like ourselves could give a damn about how many tough teams they dominate during the season. one more question,do you even swim?
