prayers to the Cerda Family and the Sycamore community

Jose Cerda, a senior at Sycamore High School, and water polo player and swimmer, passed away tonight. He was at a Marlins practice at St X, and collapsed. He was taken to the hospital but would be pronounced dead an hour later.

Jose played for me in the summer, and was a great kid. Always enjoyed him and enjoyed coaching against him. Breaks my heart.

I pray that angels lead you in.

Jose will be missed by the entire aquatic community. Thoughts and prayers go out to his family, friends, and teammates.

I heard about this on the news last night. Such a shock and I am deeply sorry for his family, friends and teammates.

I know a lot of people in the swimming community will have their prayers going out to all affected by this tragedy.
