A must win for the Spartans 4 sure.... Field is sitting in the drivers seat of d3 r9 and I hope we catch them sleeping on friday... If the Spartans can come in ready to play (first play not second half) and eliminate our mistakes and capitalize on mistakes by the Falcons I think we can play with this team but with that said Field is getting better each week and frankly they are a tough arse team that can match up with just about anyone in the region.

Coaches can get them totally prepared and I know they will but the Spartan players will have to execute, execute, execute, and keep the defense off the field as much as possible on friday to have a chance, not being negative just keepin it real. We have a legit chance but we will need our best showing of the season so far.

Springfield 22
Field 21

If Springfield wins this one it changes things big time for the coaches, players and fans we will be back in the hunt again.

I think the key for the Spartans is slowing down the run and making the Falcons beat them through the air. Field can run the heck out of the football using different looks and through screen passes. They move it well enough that passing has not been a necessity so far in the games I have attended.

On the flip side, I don't think Springfield can beat anyone in the PTC if they HAVE to throw the football...They have a tough inside back and a gifted open-field runner also, ride them as far as you can . The home run balls tend to work very much against this team.

Good luck to both schools. Field 31-21

I agree with your points but I think to have a snowballs chance at making a run they have to be able to balance out the offense, teams are loading the box and just challenging them to pass to beat them.... Should help with a healthy #81 back in the mix, I also think they should throw the ball to #42 they have not done that to date and a sure way to get a QB going is to give him short passes to a wide open FB or a TE off playaction.. Those 2 positions are open more than not especially when teams put 8 in the box and are geared to stop the run... It only takes a couple completions to get the LB's attention off pure run stopping and create some space for our big play backs to do some magic.
Field can run the shiat out of the ball and they have good backs in Boggs and Snyder if we can stop thier running game we are in this one.

polster where u at?? let hear you breakdown is #29 back this week?

29 is back with the whole squad. I believe they only have one injured player. Did you catch any of the JV game? Little Metz was blowing up the D-line... 10 turn overs equals loss, but the positions were in tune and the coaching was 100% better. I will not predict any scores because I believe I have jinx the kids by doing it... But the Spartans can beat them if they actually play the game.

#11 looked like he was all-world tonight. Don't believe he made a mistake and just made so many plays. The guy behind me asked if he would be driving the bus home as well. What a football game, I was fortunate to be there tonight.

I agree that was a great game to watch and the team has nothing to be ashamed of they played hard and did not make many mistakes, my throat is sore from cheering. Wish they could of pulled that one out. look out now PTC looks like KV has this team starting to fire on all cylinders...

Matthews was special last night. Did you see #1 little Baker at QB throw the late TD to Cole? what a catch and throw everyone in the stadium knew Cole was the target and they still could not stop it.

Chase played a heck of a game at QB and DE last night, I am torn with him he could be the best TE/WR in the county but has really come along at QB lately would like to see some more spot play for #1 at QB he looks to be the QB for the future with #11 getting some time at TE/WR keep mixing it up for the rest of the season. Its nice to see an underclassman finally stepping up to take the position of future QB we have missed that here in Springfield for a couple years, yes a couple of seniors have played well there but all the ones who have been groomed there since youth or JH have not panned out for some reason, imagine if Chase had been QB since youth or JH he would be unstoppable there.

Team was definitely jellon. I sure hope they bring the intensity to the remaining games. I hate injuries, it is the worst factor that controls the outcome of a game. The O line did a superb job. Boggs was a one man wrecking crew.
