Spartans dominated with only a sprinkle of offense today in the first scrimmage. Chase Cole looked dead on every pass. Dillon and Zach ran the ball at will. But I believe Chase is the one. He did not force plays, ran the ball and gained positive yards. Defense came out slow as usual but shut down any passing game the D1 recruit RAKIM REED hoped for. I was very impressed by the d-line and the penetration they had.
second note, the second d came out strait up with 11 helmets on the ball...... one bad thing was a choice few parents from Tlmken ruined a good day ln the neighborhood .
What about our new kicker? that kid is the shiznit
post your comments if you were there.

was good to see them in a full contact scrimmage things look better every time I watch the team... are they were they need to be for week 1?... IMO not yet but they are getting there they need to keep working hard in practice and play their defensive positions like the coaches teach them and no "free lancers" trying to be hero's thats how good defenses give up big plays, "free lancers" get out of position and poof your defense is toast. do "your" job defensivley and you will be in position to make plays I can promise you that. dont mean to pick on defense I thought they did well with bending but not breaking...

all I can say is wow...they were not perfect polster but boy those JV kids are arse kickers!! very physical.... I loved it... I bet the Comets did not come away from that one feeling very rosey... I was feeling some of the hits up in the stands and I was thinking to myself they need to end this thing before someones helmet flies off with a head still in it.
