Whoes the coach? KV has already put the Ellet team together and its not a bunch of forty and fifty year olds.

Do you supply a oxygen tank and free medical?

Be kinda cool to see James and Gary in the same backfield. They both look to still be in great shape.

I will tell you from experience that these games are for a younger crowd. I played Alumni for about 4 years after high school (3 to 4 games a year) , and it was by far , the hardest hitting ( cheapshots ) football I ever played. My first year they put me on the kickoff team and some of the older guys told me to watchout running down , well I thought I was a young buck and went right after the ball full tilt , long story short , snot dripping from my facemask , nuff said.

Please video the game and post it on youtube.

Hope you have as many doctors there as you do players. But whatever you do, please leave your cheerleaders at home.

We still need more players/linemen to be specific... its not 2 late next practice Sunday at 6:00pm @ SHS. Stop with all the excuses just come help out you wont regret it.

shaggy11

I agree! We have tons of skilled players, and only a few linemen. Excuses include I'm out of shape, I might get hurt? Seriously, live life, come out and have some fun, and enjoy the game you played when you were younger!

The out of shape excuse is a given for most... That should not stop you I get winded from streching especially AG's streches but my arse is out there giving it what I got and I will be there going to battle with my Spartan alums on July 9th.

If you second guess you ability to compete you will miss out on what is for sure 2 be a memorable game.. Where else would you get an chance to play with guys who grew up watching you play and vice versa. I SHS class of 90' am getting a chance to play football with my nephew SHS 05' and we both think its cool as heck. Lots of Springfields best players over the years are playing and some who never played at all are out there it is very cool and brings back that Spartan Pride any Spartan Alumni are welcome but time is running out get off the fence and get on the field.

BTW Shaggy11 thanks for making this happen I have a feeling after this year we will have guys coming out of the woodwork for next years game.

any line spots open?

yes yes yes! show up 2morrow! we could use you. 87 we could use you 2.. T. Mancuso 87' showed up last night he was balls out and loving it... Team started to grow together last night players were stepping up all over the field the defense was tight and the offense is coming along nice. We need some big guys to help out and we should be able to compete well with a talented Ellet alumni team.

come to practice and it will loosen it up! it did mine... no joke I feel 10x better than I did 3 weeks ago. i feel as ready to play football as a 38 year old who does little excersize can I guess... a couple months in the gym weight lifting would of helped some more for sure..

With all the badd arses in Springfield I am suprized more guys have not stepped up to help out the team you will not have to play every down you get tired you give the next guy a chance and catch your breath a nice rotation will keep us stong the whole game without more big guys its going to be harder to keep pressure on the Orangemen.

Ok,

I scouted Ellet's team last night. Polster was right, it's not a bunch of 40 + guys. They have a lot of youth, probably 22 - 32 yr olds.

Good size guys to.

I didn't see Yost out there, so they may have a real good chance against you guys.

spartan71
06-30-10, 11:20 AM
thats what I heard too........ we have about 8-10 older guys the rest are still 21-32 we dont have a ton of size.... we picked up some more size last night though... r u coming to see this GRPride?? I have tickets.....

My dude from Kenmore says he was your QB last night at Manchester. Does it have to be alumni? If not when is practice again?

spartan71
07-06-10, 11:56 AM
I was told he went to Springfield also.. We have like 4 QB's I think... I wish we were 4 deep at every position especially mine ytd was miserable hot out there. I hope some cooler weather gets here by friday or we will have some serious cramping during the game that will limit the amount allot of us can go. Its game week!!!

Also the roster is closed if you have not already been to a practice.

Ellet doesn't have any two way starters or players.... Go figure.
