I heard the colors for youth are changing to Green and Gold when the new uniforms come out. Thats just grape vine hearsay though. Any truth to it? Springfield Spirish will also be the new name.

Nope. New uniforms aren't in the Budget for Youth this year. We still got 3 - 4more years with what we have in Scarlet and Gray. Not to mention, I got too many Spartan shirts that are still in good shape. Spartan mascot will stick around for years to come. :)

lol.. I dont think Irish cares what colors the Spartans are, the man loves the program and works hard to make it top notch at SYF! I am glad he is coaching young Spartans he teaches solid football techniques to players and the newer coaches who have the fortune of getting to work with him... there are some coaches in SYF who could be assets to any HS staff as assistants.
