I know football is still going on and I dont want to take away from their time. But if you know any kids who you think might want to wrestle this year get on them now. We need them ready to go after football is done. Junior High is looking at a full roster this year. I think I am only missing one of the upper weights so far. Thats better than the 6 missing classes we had every match last year. I dont know who the High School coach is going to be yet for sure. But they are going to be desperate for wrestlers I think. Need to get some HS kids back into wrestling. They can't be very viable with only a few wrestlers on the team. The wrestlers they do have at the HS are hard workers. Let's see if we can get some athletes to try building the program back up again. Experience isnt necessary. Hard working attitude is all that is needed. They can be taught the rest of it during the season.

Just a little FYI for the youth wrestling parents, it is for sure that JC is coming back as the head coach!!!! yeah:) so anyone who left the program due to silly drama, please consider coming back! and anyone who is being recruited and following that former coach to another program,,,GO cuz your not a true Spartan anyway!

good news that JC is back at youth.. Too bad things did not work out for him on the HS job... they better get someone good to take over the the HS job or all this hard work and recruiting of kids to wrestle down at youth and MS is wasted... when only 2-3 good wrestlers (10-15 overall) show up on our HS teams each season that tells me the current system is not providing the numbers needed to sustain a competitive program... KV should take some interest in the wrestling program because of the possible benifits to his football program that wrestlers bring..

I recieved a message from KV today about the HS coaching situation. I am very pleased about the decision he made. It should be annonunced soon. Now we can resume where we left off in building this program back to where it needs to be. I am sure the new HS coaches will be able to connect with some guys and get them excited enough to come back. I for one can't wait to see what they have planned and feed them MS wrestlers in the future.

Hey spartan87 pm me on who the new coach is... I heard it may be an old friend of mine... well was not who i was thinking but from what i hear its a good choice for the program... hopefully they get allot of new blood out this year to help build up the needed numbers to compete as a team in d2..
