I was just glancing at the psych sheets for the Central District meet when I noticed that both St. Charles and UA have a lot of youth.

UA's Seniors:

-Eric Huffman, it will hurt a lot to lose a potential two event champion, let alone his speed on the relays.

-Tommy Dickhaut: 4:45 500 and 1:04 100 Breast. UA has plenty of talent right behind him in the 500 so won't hurt too much to lose him.

SC's Seniors: (Mostly just Breast and IM guys)

-Erik Mai, subminute Breast and IM specialist. He will leave a hole on the Medley Relay and in both events as many of SC's top Breast Strokers and IMers are Seniors.

-Eric Grunden, 1:02 Breast at sectional, might get close to the minute barrier, also a 22 low free styler looking to get into 21.

-Justin Shotwell, 1:04 Breast at sectional, maybe a 1:01-1:02 guy and a 2:04 IM.

-David Yarnell, I only found him in one event, 50 free with a 23.57, so unless he has a great District meet he doesn't look like he will score points for St. Charles.

It looks like St. Charles overall is losing more specifically two events are getting hit hard. UA is just losing one phenominal senior and another really good Senior. But both teams are returning a lot of young talent for next year.

It seems like both SC and UA might be the younger teams in the State and set up for a great competitive year next year as well.

How do the other top teams look (St. X, University, Moeller, Mason, Centerville, etc.)?

And I know this is a bit of an odd time for a topic like this since the season isn't over yet, still some fast swimming to be done. It was just something that jumped out at me (the relatively few amount of Seniors for St. Charles and especially UA).

I had already noticed how strong StC looks for next year. As always, StX graduates a bunch of seniors, but has a bunch of underclassmen waiting for their turn. Miller and Lipari might already be top point scorers for X at district and state.

Moeller loses a huge percentage of their talent. Only Schwab and Josephson have potential of scoring points at state this year. Centerville only loses two seniors that crack their relays. But Perkins and Schieman and several others will be back next year, so Centerville might actually be stronger next year.

Mason and Lakota West graduate everyone that will probably score points at district this year. Beavercreek has freshman Kanzari, but I don't know anyone else there. Oak Hills loses their top two sprinters and I don't see anyone available to replace them on relays.

looking at next year I think centerville actually looks the strongest, with StC right behind them. The one thing X has going for them is depth, and alot of guys that could step up next year. Also Lipari and Miller are both threats to win two events each at state next year.

brett mackenzie is moving to beavercreek next year and the only event that centerville will be weaker in next year is the 200IM

Moeller will be hurting. All they really have is Schwab. Maybe Hammiter (FR) can qualify for state next year, but thats about it.

X, as always, will be able to come around strong. Juniors Miller and Lipari, Sophomores Lawley and Gores, and apparently Freshman Gabe Rapp went a 54 in his 100 fly at the Fred Cooper meet (confirmation?). Also Gray Dennis had a pretty good GCL for a freshman, he could be a threat in the 200 Im and 100 Br in upcoming years.

Ya that sounds like few good guys for next year, but not that impressive especially for relays. I see x behind centerville SC and even UA.

I don't know if I'd go that far, at least not yet.

Putting X behind UA is bit of a strech, losing Huffman puts a huge hit on them, for relays and individuals, and X has more depth to back up what they lose.

And current Freshman Josephson... But word is that Moeller is getting kids that would usually go to st. x in the class of '13. I've heard that Moeller's freshman class will be very good.

Next year, Moeller will NOT be anything special, but in 2 years, they should be special.

X will be very good. They always are. I think centerville will be very good as well. Wyoming is gonna have one of the better teams if you look at their roster they don't have many seniors at all.Not that it really matters cause they are D2 but they will score fairly high at classic.
