that link also has video of every event and heat...a nice job by floswimming.

Looks like it was a good meet for both teams. St. X came out on top but it's an early season meet and a lot came out of this meet. Both teams have many young swimmers that will need to step up later in the season.

yeah i was wandering why too? but st. X had some nice swims, Alex Miller 1:43.5 200 free and Sam Lipari 1:58.0 IM and 1:00.2 breast, all pretty good

Word is that Schuttinger was ineligible (academics). X's Kevin Louis had a strong meet as well, showing significant improvement from last year. The swim of the meet came in the Varsity 100 free when SC's Kocher outtouched Louis after it appeared that Louis had the race won at the flags. Although st. X won the duel meet handily, they finished third in the showdown the following day. Floswimming also covered that. Full results of both meets are on SC's website at http://www.eteamz.com/scswim/index.cfm? Links to the floswimming videos are provided there. These were excellent opening meets for both teams. SC & st. X each swam well. It's clear that both teams lost alot from last year and are pretty young, but it still looks like these two will battle it out for the state crown at the end of the year.

The 1:43.57 by Alex Miller was a new pool record in that event as well. Quite impressive as he is a junior and some very talented swimmers have swum that event in that pool as well.

lets face the facts. st x swam a very good meet, but they still lost the catholic showdown the next day. everybody knows that relays revolve around speed and sprinting. st charles has the speed and sprinting. st x finished third at the catholic showdown the next day. while st x may have won the meet friday, the "real" team showed its true colors on saturday. i'm taking st. charles to win state again this year

agree. St. X has a team that would kill anyone in a duel meet. But after that. when it gets to the bigger meets, they don't have enough to stay in like they used too

looks to me like st.x is in better position than they were last year, and we all know how close that meet was
