As the schedules begin to come out, what meets are there that people want to see?
St. Charles has their schedule on the web at http://www.eteamz.com/scswim/schedules/index.cfm?season=526812&division=651610. They swim St X on December 5; University on December 12; and UA on January 9.
UA has their schedule on the web at http://www.highschoolsports.net/defaultcal.cfm?ct=s&schoolid=OH432216893&spt=82&lvl=-1&division=-1. They swim University & Solon on December 5 and Firestone on December 12.
Centerville's schedule is on the web at http://www.elkswimming.com/schedules.htm#Meet%20Schedule. They swim St. X on January 3; SC on January 19; and UA on January 24.
All these should be good meets with fast swimming. There's a rumor circulating that floswimming.org (who did the state meet) may cover the SC / St. X meet.
Does anyone know of other good meets this season?

The Centerville-St.X meet would be interesting.
Im not sure of when we will get our schedule. But i know we swim against X and Elder in the Same meet and eventually GCLs. Other than that

I think one of the best meets of the year will be GCL's. Moeller who may be one of the most underrated teams out there is going to be very good this season. They have the right team to do some serious damage. I would keep my eyes on that GCL meet to see who wins between X and Moe

Yeah def. one of the best meets of the year, plus that is senior night. Yea, Moe doesnt get alot of hype but CAN be one of the best teams in the state. In the city i think X and Moe are #1 and 2. Not sure in the state. GCLs should be interesting though.

I think that the Southwest Classic is a great meet. I know that it is already probably the largest high school meet in the country. Have they ever considered opening it to teams outside of the Southwest District? They could use Keating as a prelims site as well as for the finals to accomodate the additional teams they would draw. I suspect that UA, SC, other top teams, and some of the best teams from other states would put the meet on their schedules, if they could. It would make a great meet, even better.

No, it's called the SW Classic for a reason. It's tradition and should be kept that way. At it's current size it is already the largest high school meet in the country, there's no other meet in the country that measures up to it.

st xavier always wins the classic because they have too many numbers...and centerville second...but the matchups and races should be sweet

That's why it's competitive. No one cares who wins the meet because St. X always does (not to be arrogant), but the individual event races are probably 2nd to State...
It may be 3rd to Districts, but honestly I like the competitive atmosphere more at Classic than districts because people are trying to win, not just qualify for the state meet like at districts...if that makes sense.

Centerville swims St. Charles on January 19 and UA on January 24. That week should be telling in how strong the Centerville boys will be. They also swim St. X in early January. Any predictions... will they be 0-3, 1-2, 2-1, or 3-0 in these meets. My prediction is 1-2.

well first off the meet against st. xavier is a JV meet.....lol
and i think that centerville can stand a good chance against St.C in a dual meet

Are you sure about St. X? It's listed on Centerville's schedule as Varsity/Reserve which sounds like more than JV, but maybe I don't understand the lingo.
I think that Centerville v. UA will be a good meet with Centerville coming out on top. I don't think Centerville has the depth to top SC. Anyway, both should be good meets.
