Well Pens fans, the season starts today against Ottawa in Stockholm. We have our core players led by Sid the Kid, back to make another run at Lord Stanley's Cup. We lost some of my personal favorites, Malone, Laraque, and Ruutu. We added, among others Miraslav Satan.

Injury wise, we're behind the eight ball. Sergei Gonchar is out until March, and Ryan Whitney until December. Petr Sykora is a scratch today with Tyler Kennedy taking his spot.

The wife and I will be at the Toronto game on the 18th. Let me know if any of you are going!

Wow. Dropped a tough one today 3-1. Not much offense against the Senators, but we did get a power play goal. Back to the U.S.

Didn't know this thread existed until this afternoon.

Pens need to get a W tonight against an improved Columbus team @ The Igloo. Currently in 10th place in the East.

And further into the season, Pittsburgh is on the outside looking in at the playoff picture.

Tonight looked like the Pens of old. They're going to have to live (and die) by playing wide open hockey the rest of the season.

Montreal is terrible. Florida and Buffalo will pass them up and Carolina will knock them out of the playoff picture.
