who cares.

The person who posted the question.

The players on the team.

The coaches who are developing the future Varsity players.

The parents and friends of these players.

Saying that no one cares is like a college soccer fan saying who cares about Varsity soccer.

All levels matter and should be fun.

Elder JV beat Fairfield JV 2-1. Carroll is very good at the JV and Varsity levels.

A lot will be answered this week on the JV level as the GMC gets really underway. Mason plays Oak Hills, Milford, Lak W and Lakota East in the next two weeks. All I can speak for is Mason, which has a really good group of younger players. Mason cut a lot of kids that would have been juniors or sophomores this year that could have contributed on JV one in favor of some freshman (some of these kids would be starters on most varsity teams in town). At first I thought they (the coaches) might have made some mistakes, but the freshman for Mason (at least the top four or five) are really strong. Quite a drop off from there though. The JV two team has struggled. The JV one team for Mason has one junior, that's it and they are undefeated and haven't given up a goal yet. Real tests will be this week and next.

Mason's JV is very tough. Elder tied them 1-1 in the preseason, but Mason controlled the game IMHO.

I would just have to say that from what I saw was that Mason only has 4 players returning from last years team and all of them play at a high club level, 3 for Cup and one for a dayton based team, it will be interesting to see how they preform the next couple games, against their best opponents

Carroll does have an awesome JV team as well. Better, a bit, at least at this stage than Masons. But they also have like eight juniors on the team as well. Physically, not many JV teams can match up against that many juniors. It goes back to my point that Mason cut quite a few juniors not ready, in their opinion to play varsity yet and went with freshman to develop. Mason played Carroll in a scrimmage. It was fairly even but Carroll won 1-0. Mostly, it was Mason kids were out muscled. I would take the Mason kids' skill though next year against the same kids from Carroll. When Mason grows, literally, they would be a better team.

I haven't seen a JV team yet this year that really stands out like Elder, Mason, Fairfield, and X did last year. I do think Carroll looked pretty good for the Dayton area. Sycamore has a decent squad as well.

I have to disagree with that. Milford, Mason, Carrol, Elder all have solid JV's this year. Mason gave up it's first goal (of the season) this week at East (and that was on a handball with offsides as well). Milford has some great young players. Also, I would have to say Loveland has some real talent - they will be very good. The Loveland Milford rivalry will be strong over the next two years. I saw the JV teams you are referring to last year. These teams this year stack up against them well. Milford, definitely Carroll and maybe Mason this year are better than those teams.

Carroll, Beavercreek and Mason were the best JV squads that i have seen so far this year. Elder has a young JV squad with mostly soph's and freshman and a few juniors. I will say that Carroll's squad had quite a few juniors, so that's why they stood out.

It would be hard to find somone better than Milford.
JV A is 11-1 & I think JV B team is 12-0.
Might be others, but look for Eagles to be strong again at varsity level come 2010-11.
