Water Polo

Does anyone follow water polo? It seems there are teams only in Cincinnati, Columbus, and Toledo. I'm wondering why there aren't more teams...especially in Cincinnati where swimming is so strong. Any thoughts on how this sport can grow at the high school level?

I wish there more, I love the sport. Teams in Cincy are sycamore, princeton, mason, milford. It be cool if teams in the GCL-s could get water polo. Many swimmers for Lasalle, Elder , and X it could happen but oh well.

Since this is not an OHSAA sport, schools and groups of schools could form club teams and compete. That's what lacrosse does. I would imagine that in Cincinnati, Columbus & Toledo a club team or two could exist for players whose schools don't offer the sport. Multiple high school districts could form a single team. It is such a great sport, hopefully others...like mupolo...will get involved and start teams. I suspect if things get rolling they will snowball as more people learn about this facinating sport.

Ohio Cup is this week end. Hopefully, someone will post results as I doubt any newspaper will cover it.
