Good luck to the boys today down at Fawcett Stadium. If anybody attends, I'd be interested to hear how they did.
I heard in their first 7 on 7, there were many positives and a few surprises as well.

First play of the varsity game 70 yrd TD. Scotty to his bro Chase.
Vasity did not get scored on all day. Did not get to see the varsity in action but Mr. Vaughn said he was very impressed.
Freshman, it was a hard fought battle with Dillon only scoring 6 TD`s and two extra point run ins. It was rough to see the speed but i got through it. The whole freshman team looked incredible against a bigger Barberton Majic team. Blocking was great and the coaching is top notch.

Any chance previous #20 could dress Varsity?
I am confident he could contribute.
Awsome to hear, but am keeping a level head, knowing these are only 7 on 7's.

These are not 7 on 7s these are full teams, full contact.
He as this point is 3rd string tail and 2nd maybe 1st kick return. Just rumors for varsity.

Not bad. they went in there thinking they were unbeatable and the first few plays the line was getting destroyed. Then coach shack and d cole got in some rears. Varsity squad came over for a few to watch and the freshman got pumped. Anyways they came on top of both scrimmages.

have not got down to see the freshman that much yet but they have a fine group of coaches there and a good core group of talent... when that group reaches 12 grade i predict a very solid varsity HS team with playoff contention being a reality.... i'm glad coach shaffer decided to stay coaching football in springfield he definatly has varsity HC potential in his future...
as far as the middle school goes there are some seriously talented kids on that squad their numbers are down but some of the players are total studs mix them with the freshman team and like i said they will be contenders in the very near future, and with this LARGE group of 7th graders coming up to support them in the next couple years i could see things getting good for springfield in the next couple years...
i would like to thank KV for giving hope to the Spartans and all of us who love them... i can see the light at the end of the tunnel, and dont be suprized when the HS team upsets some perrinial powerhouses on their schedule its gonna be sweet!

I haven't seen them this year.
I don't think much of their freshmen coaches, they were all on Iammarino's staff and they were horrible. That can't be forgotten.
I don't know anything about the varsity staff. All I heard was that they were all practicing together to help teach all the kids the same thing.

some were also part of Mazur's staff.... i sense some resentment there Shiloh but do you think every assistant under coach Ima was to blame i really find that hard to believe that every coach was a bust... I believe HC's make their staff's excel to a point some guys just get lazy and go thru the motions when faced with adversity a HC must challenge his staff on a daily basis and i think that was lacking last year you could be Bill Walsh with XX's and OO's but if you not a good motivator to your players and your staff you might as well stick to playstation...JMO
