I pulled this off of Green site,The A Division will participate with other community teams in the Buckeye Youth Football Conference. The BYFC does not stack teams with the most talented players, but rather divides the teams evenly for the most fair and competitive play. Our league adheres to the policy of teaching fundamentals in a family-friendly atmosphere as opposed to a “winning at all costs” mentality. That is such a great lesson to teach, we are all equal and everyone is the same. Until you get to High School and then the gloves come off. Yes we are teaching the children all about life. For all the times Byf has said there league is better. Some time in August all this typing will mean nothing and games will be played. Then you will see first hand the difference between the two. You will have Ellet one of the strongest teams in the league dominate the current teams in the buckeye league. Then we will see if the Boy Scout mentality holds up. We can only type on yappi so long, then we will have to put our efforts on the field. Tallmadge will be very strong due to the fact it does not have to compete with middle school anymore. Springfield has always had good athletes, if they have the numbers that I here they have they will also do very well. Then you have us, we don't and won't have the numbers to compete. I actually can't wait to watch the games and see the competitve play being taught and adhere to all these wonderful values that will teach our children all the qualities of life needed to make it in the real world.

BYF doesn't say not to be competitive just not win at all costs. You are a negative ..go post on Manchester's board and drag your own community down.

that every kid gets developed during youth not just the studs because year after year the kid who could not run a lap without crying, or the kid scared of his own shadow with time and experiance and someone who can make the game fun for them will bloom into a football player sometimes over just a couple practices... kids who sit all thru youth kind of just disappear in JH or HS if never given proper training or motivation when younger by a coach who leaves no kids behind..
it is so important to get a kid to flick that switch when he is younger, because even though we have a good idea who the best kids are by the time they finish with youth. it never fails the middle of the pack type players end up making or breaking a HS team.

If you're so upset about Manchester going to this new league why post it on Springfields forum? I don't get it.
