Huge soccer news for Ohio Elite and the talent pool for the Developmental Academy. As an outside observer, they have made some strong improvements / counter arguements that the DA will hurt them. This could benefit both Ohio FC and Elite boys programs.

Hey, Hugesoccerfan, you need to catch up to the rest of the world. Ohio FC doesn't exist anymore. The merger of Team Dayton and Ohio FC over the last couple of years created Team Ohio. The article has it right.

You are right, just really left off the Team part. I stand corrected.

The question is now, where will they practice if/when this merger happens. Columbus Crew supposedley is practicing one or two nights a week in Cleveland. will OE practice a couple nights a week in Columbus?

Anyone heard that there was some unrest on the Team Ohio U-17 team and that players are leaving?

What happened MajorFan? Where will they go? Will the Ohio Elite merger affect this?

Too much of a soap opera to try to post, but realize that this is the team that won State Cup last year and was one goal away from Nationals. This year, they lost on PKs after the State Cup pool had been weakened by the creation of the Developmental Academies.

I look for all the U-18 boys teams in Columbus, Cincy and Dayton to see some come and some go. Worthington is merging with the Crew. Rumor has it there will be 5 U-18 teams!!! Team Ohio has the affliation with Ohio Elite. Metro and the Galaxies both have multiple teams in the same age group. Since the 5 players per high school rule is no longer in affect for these teams, I look for a bunch of shuffling to happen between the teams.
