Hello everyone,
That's right, SYF has just stepped into a new era in football by joining the BYFL. With these new changes SYF is hoping to make the first step changing football in Springfield. Come out and join the little "SPARTAN NATION" Saturday and Sunday 12-2 for sign ups. Hope to see ya there. Any questions feel free to contact me Ed Ellis 330-701-8812.

Congratulations Springfield.

Yes, you're in a new era. All the kids playing on gameday! WOW, what a concept.

Sleep well at night knowing that your big lineman no longer will be migrating to other youth programs to play, but rather for their hometown team!

Your whole program up through the high school will see the results - congratulations again!

For the love of the kids, where has Smash been. Rumor has it he and the Kappers jumped from the Killian Rd. bridge. Anyone see any bodies on the road going south on I-77?

I respect Smash and the others for their full support of the SYF. Suburban Youth Football has done many wonderful things for the kids over the years and will continue to do so in the future. I respect a person who fights for what they believe is in the best interest of the kids. We don't always have to agree with that person but it is admirable that someone speaks up and fights for something.
You will not hear myself, and hopefully any other Springfield citizen bash the SYF or any of its supporters. I hope we can remain mature and respectful to the SYF and all of its members.

Congrats Springfield!:welcome: thanks ellet32, we look forward to renewing our friendly rivalry (at the youth level) ! i would hope that soon we can see a competitive H.S. game between us again.. although we will need a commercial grade sandblaster to remove all the orange paint built up over the years...i see a major change in the attitude in Springfield here lately you can only beat a dog so much before he bites back.

I am not disrespecting the syf league at all. Just the dictatorship that took it down. For the sake of all the other teams and kids, I hope they rebuild, do things differently or it will be more of the same.

I wish the SYF all the luck in the world, they were a part of our family for 34 years. When it's all said and done it's not about history and tradition it's about a community that needs to get back on track, and if we can help be a part of that then we're all for it.

SSpartans,

Fundraiser planning is already in process. Tina Metzgar is President of the Youth Booster Club and has been putting things in motion. Few things in the works currently are a Golf Outing and either a Night at the Races or Casino Night. We will be discussing in full detail at the next Booster Club Meeting. I will get you the date and time and post it on here.
