Last year we were limiting to just D3 teams. That has changed this year as we are trying to include more D2 teams. Trying to make this one best summer events for the money. Everyone seemed to enjoy the competition, and the atmosphere. We have worked out an agreement with Athletes in Action to house any teams needing overnight accomodations.

For those in attendance last year, the port-a-john issue has addressed for this year.

Have you ever thought of having "Goalie Wars" as part of the Super Scrimmage? It could be a lot of fun and would be an opportunity for teams to rally around their goalkeepers.

Sdad-No I have not even considered it. The days out there are long and hard enough without adding more to mix.


037542niner-The field are all located at the same complex. 1 and 2 are on one side while 3 and 4 are on the other side a driveway.

Sdad-Can you point me in the right direction as far as the Goalie Wars? I seen it mentioned but have never actually seen the event take place. Maybe something else to add, who knows.

The basic premise is:

You create a box 20 yards deep and about 30 yards wide. The goals are placed 20 yards apart. The two goalies can throw, punt, or kick the ball at the opposing goal. If the goalie makes the save he has to take his “shot” from where the save was made. First goalie to 10 wins.
