What is anybody carrying these days? I like to talk about equipment...

I've got the:
Taylor Made R7 Superquad 9.5
Taylor Made V-Steel 16.5
Taylor Made Rescue TP 19 and 22
Callaway X-14 Pro Series 5-PW
Callaway Forged Wedges 50, 54, and 60
Odyssey 2-Ball Blade

I know that it is an interesting bag set-up, but it works for me!

Does anyone have suggestions on fairway woods and wedges?

what??? you need to sugestions for woods and wedges you have the best of the best... "I like to talk equipment" sounds a little more like i like to brag about having the top of the line clubs to me ???

Woods and Wedges.

Wedges i recommend Mizuno MP, Vokeys or your present callaways.

Woods i love the new Sumo's and also like some of the new Taylormade line.

Rocket-

I'm not trying to brag - I certainly don't think there is much to brag about having 6 year old irons and 5 year old wedges...

I'm interested in what other good players are carrying and how that equipment helps them to perform at the best.

Question for anyone who has the Vokey spin-milled wedges...

Do they spin TOO MUCH on chips and pitches? Can you play bump and runs with them?

I recently got a Taylormade r7 3 wood steel with a an upgraded shaft (Speeder) that has done pretty well for me. I also have the Volkeys (spin milled) 52 (bent from 54) and a 56. Can't go wrong with those. Hey Daddy, I've got an old Taylormade Quad. I'm looking to upgrade to the Superquad. How do you like yours and what shaft is in it?

Nut-

I love the SuperQuad - switched from the Nike Sasquatch.

I got fitted on a launch monitor at Golf Galaxy, which I strongly recommend if you're gonna spend the money on any driver. According to the computer numbers, I gained 33 yards and 55% accuracy.

I have the SuperQuad stock stiff shaft - the sales rep encouraged me to not switch out, as the shaft is made specifically for the driver. I believe him.

Daddy-
My experience was that yes the spin milled did spin almost too much at first but only on full shots. I never had any trouble with them around the green. You probably shouldnt be hitting a "Bump and run" with a sand or lob wedge anyway, try using a 8 iron or a club that already has the proper loft.

Brave-

Thanks for the info - I like playing as many shots as possible with a 54 SW by moving the ball around in my stance.

The thing that I'm concerned about is the expectation of release from the rough around the green and the ball just grabbing. I'm sure that you get used to it...
