Clarkson dominated this game from the start of the 2nd period. This is a suprising result to me as SCSU was ranked #7 and plays in the tough WCHA. SCSU's strength is their power play, and Clarkson dominated this phase as SCSU went 0-6 on the power play.

Alot of people picked New Hampshire to get out of this region, I was not one of them (I picked CC) but they might be able to pull out this victory still over ND. NH ended the 2nd period strong and if ND lays back on dee, this could cost them. I think 5 goals atleast will be needed to win this game.

Niagara's strength is their power play, 3rd in the nation, and they will have to find ways to get their fair share of them if they expect to pull out this victory. I'm sure it is a moral victory to be scoreless after one against the top team in the nation but Michigan will come out on the power play to start the second period. Niagara is 47th of 59 teams in killing power plays. Michigan has not played very well in the first 10 minutes but started to click a bit in the second part of the first period. Once they get their first goal it could open up the flood gates..... a bit strange that both games are at intermission at the same time, I get a chance to watch some Davidson/Wisconsin hoop action!!!!
