I wanted to take a second and wish all of the Springfield Youth Wrestlers good luck in the All-Star tournament this weekend and also in the upcoming State tournament. I'm sure I'll see a bunch of you at Springfield on the 26th.

I know Springfield had at least 2 First Place finishers and at least 3, Fourth Place finishers. I had to leave after the 48 pounders, so not sure who else may have placed.

:clap: the young bucks did well from what i hear. it is nice to see 5,6,7, and 8 year old kids showing up for the grind that wrestling practice is, seeing so many young kids working so hard gives me alot of hope for the future. i just wish all spartans were as dedicated as the fine group of youth wrestlers we had this year.

i want to wish good luck to all the varsity wrestlers in thier bids for a shot at the state title in thier respective weight class it all starts january 26th at springhill jr. high with sectionals anyone who has free time that day and loves youth sports and spartans in particular should come and cheer these boys on we have some kids with a real good shot at making it to states..work!work!win!:thumb:

Hey Kev, I wanted to make it out to practice Monday, but Jimmy got an ear infection. You guys probably have quite a few kids that should make it out of sectionals and districts this year. I really hope all the boys do well. They been working really hard for a lot of years to get to this point. I'm really proud of all of them and wish we could still be there with you guys. Anyways, GOOD LUCK!!!!!!

thanks Jim we really missed have you and the boys around this year. good luck to your boys and i'm sure we will see you at sectionals.. are you coming to rootstown saturday?? if you team is not can you guys come as fill ins for us?? how tough is jimmys weight class this year?? since we did not have a varsity wrestler at his weight i did not get to see much action in his weight class i'm sure it will be stacked at districts and states. how are rusty's chances this year??

As far as I know Jimmy & Rusty are going to fill in on your team this weekend. I talked to J.C. and he said that was fine. The only thing I'm not sure about is if you have a 56 pounder or not. I know C.J. moved, but J.C. said you might have a 56. I don't really know about Jimmy's class. A lot of teams didn't have an 82 pounder this year. I'll give J.C. a call to make sure we can still come Saturday, but we're planning on it.

i believe all of our 56 pounders wrestled @ all-stars not sure i dont know how much terrell weighs..he may be close to that.
