We do wan't ellet to join also, we also know ellet and one more district is fed up with syfl. If you or anybody else needs info email me and I will hook you up with the people making the move here in Springfield. And from what I hear, there won't be 2 leagues. And I can't tell that untill the right time.

I think it is funny that these people are following a 0-10 coach a Ad that is part time and has no experience and a middle school coach that had a hard time with the B team this year. If this goes through as I have said before you will have two very bad youth teams and your high school coach and Ad will have their jobs maybe one more year. I'm not commenting on the leagues, but I will defend someone when a misstatement like this is posted... where did you get that idea? And exactly what do you mean by had a hard time? This year the B-Team went 5-2, losing by 1 point to Mogadore, and had a close game called due to weather, doesn't sound like he had a hard time to me!

You have talked
about how bad our high school is ,thats whats triying to be fixed. Back in
the 80`s early 90`s we had two juinor high programs and a youth program,
that produced lineman from j.h ,and skill players from the youth ,but obviously we are down to one j.h program that needs seriously rebuilt and a youth varsity that averages 17 to 18 players if you dont count the fact this number could change by adding the number of spartan girls that had to play just to have a team of bodies to practice. The people that are pushing for a change is not trying to tear down the suburban organization, its just trying to make our program whole from top to bottom (yes a feeder system with the youth from flag to a 6th grade varsity) then have the boys move on into the j.h, then freshman and then to Friday night. The way we are set up now we have a youth varsity that feeds 135# lineman and skill players right to the high school. so if we look at the numbers from last year we had 30 flag players, 22 c-team ,22-b team, a-team 15,jv with 20-25 , varsity with 20
players.......18boys and two girls give or take. As you can see our numbers are pretty consistant from 6th grade on down, if the j.h was active this past year the youth varsity would have suffered,like year of past seasons.
So to make this work as a so called feeder system we need to have a youth program from 6th grade down so the j. h and the youth can exsist together without fighting for players. As for the byf we as a group dont care what league we play in its just the fact they are set up the way we can be efficent in the numbers game (and yes whats wrong with having every kid that lives in SPRINGFIELD have that opportunity to play big or small) We are not saying the weight has to change drasticaly, but making it a black strip type league has its benifits for SPRINGFIELD FOOTBALL in the numbers game. My biggest problem with you is you, like the people in Green did this behind peoples back. The first opportunity the league had to address your concerns was this year and this will be a reality in less than two weeks. You have talked crap about me to many people I at least said it in the open. I have never thought you were a great coach sorry my opinion. I have coached wrestling and football college, high school and youth and I am amazed how people who have never been successful in athletics know more than people that have been there done that. I will fight for every suburban league team that is what we do as a orginization. You guys have not given the SYF represenitives the opportunity to talk to you. Let me ask you something. If you was to find out that every coach you are defending cheated last year would you still be helping them out? And when I say cheated I mean I was emailed very big proof. There's taped conversations and documents proving everything.

You make some really good points, but back when we played MS football we had two junior highs and 9th graders made up the majority of those teams, when I played anyways. Don't let these "Green Guys" give you any crap, your record stands for itself. Just keep beating those guys every time you get a chance!

The kids father came clean with the whole thing early in the season to the HS coaching staff. When it came across my desk we could not do a thing because of being a private league. Its not just syf`s fault , the parent also had a guilty conscious. That is why he came to coach Iammarino. Like I said , nothing we could do at that point. To much politics for us to intervene. I just hope the same coaches are not to return knowing what kind of damage they could of inflicted on us. Lets move forward on a solution to make football a respective sport for the community.

Go ahead and change the subject and rehash old times the simple fact is that any good HS coach knows that the main thing with a strong youth football program is that they are strong in fundamentals......period.....you taylor your team to what works for you to utilize your strengths and minimize your weaknesses. Teach youth kids HS plays really doesn't matter if they don't have the talent to run them.....if you run a spread offense but have no receivers, what good is the spread offense??? If you run misdirection and off tackle and have no power back.....why would you run a misdirection??? It's really that simple.....don't force a square peg into a round hole.........

as far as Florida goes.........there are many people around that want to complain about it.....that really doesn't make a lot of sense..........if you were really all about the kids then you would realize that the trip is to do something special for them if they have earned it........the fact that they did should be honored......they should know that they did a good job.......the fact that all you want to do is try and use it as a tool and a negative thing really doesnt make a lick of sense.........if you dont want to go, fine, don't go.......don't make it a negative thing because other parents, coaches and organizations think that their kids are worth it.......sorry if you think that yours arent.smash dont remember saying the youth has to run the

There are some good people involved in SSYF....of what I can say that I know of them. They seem like genuine people.

Is it valid or speculation?
What's your proof?
Is it going to make or break the future?
Is it the reason that there is a BYF team being formed?
Are there legal ramifications to what you know?

These need to be taken into consideration on whether you are to "bring this out" so to speak. What I want to know from you is will you continue to support any coach caught cheating. I mean knowing and deliberately cheating to have a advantage. Can I list the names of people involved including the dad without being edited?

about the kids then why is everyone against the bigger kids playing ball
if it is all about the kids right......
Like i said dont care what league SPRINGFIELD goes in we just need to
change the way we do things in our community league.... so our j.h and
youth program can exsist. we are not green we dont have that many boys
to pick from we cannot aford to keep two 7th and 8th grade teams our
youth team will suffer and so will the j.h.... Like i said before byf offers
a 6th grade varsity on down thats it .. dont really care who runs it who`s
part of the green war on politics of football. all i care about is SPRINGFIELD
getting back to the way it was......

It's false because the BYF league is run by a guy from GREEN. Your AD was an Orangeman.....and I don't think your HS Head Coach graduated from Springfield. So were's the 100 percent spartan thing fit in here again?

Let me ask you something. If you was to find out that every coach you are defending cheated last year would you still be helping them out? And when I say cheated I mean I was emailed very big proof. There's taped conversations and documents proving everything.

He is going to be sitting right next to the people today at a wrestling tournament. how convenient that is. I hope they get there stories strait. Can you send me that proof cause I will gladly post it for you?

No need. I feel that from emails things are going to get handled. I will stay on top of things because I did not give anyone else slack in any of my prior postings. I hope my town are not in cahoots with this issue. I just want a strait answer, not a political run around.

Ok.......Why not wait for the SYFL to come out with their changes then?

You do need to be wary of fighting over kids at the upper levels as we have gone over here. Smaller kids play for the Youth league.....bigger for the Middle School. Provided that you have a program.....the only time this becomes an issue is when you don't have a middle school program........It's been stated many times that you will have a program into the forseeable future.

The whole program needs policed. Cleaned out top to bottom. Or maybe even start over from scratch.

first......we would have to know each other to be "cronnies". Secondly, he asked a valid question. I can't answer it without knowing all of the info. Not saying it is, but it could be another one of those he said she said deals again that got all misconstrued and blown out of proportion.

spartanpride and the rest of the springfield faithful...congratulations!..you are doing the right thing...a blackstrip leage is a great thing...and it can only lead to better football in the future for springfield..bigger kids should be able to play..it all starts with the O line!..let them all play!

greenpride its all about the kids...sounds like its all about YOU!...Green finally joined the new world with Bulldog youth football...they will see the results down the road also.. (suburban youth was fine in its day) when kids only weighed 120#...not there are kids in the 6-7 grade over 200#.

An over-weight child is only allowed to learn and experience 10 or so of the 22 positions in football because they are deem over-weight. The stated justification by the leagues for this action is for the safety of the smaller children. The leagues go so far as to mark an over-weight child's helmet with bright colors so everyone including the officials, can see they are over-weight and ensure they do not play a position other than on the offensive or defensive line. I believe the leagues actions are wrong and hopefully illegal for the following reasons: Most weight limits are arbritrary with no scientific bases to justify the limit (weight limit based on ave. weight of the league); most leagues play their games on public property; weight is only one of several factor that determine whether a child may cause an injured to another player on the field of play, speed and skill level are also just as important as weight, however, smaller player with speed and skill are not discriminated against and are allowed to play anywhere. The safety of all children is important; however, I believe there are alternatives to weight limits that do not discriminate against large children. After middle school there are no weight limits and large players are the general rule. If over-weight limit children are not allowed to play as children; how will they have the skills necessary to compete when they get older.

This sounds to me as though it's the large color (or black stripe) marking the childs helmet to make him feel out of place here. Much like thick glasses, braces, an odd birthmark or other things of this nature. You can't hide the fact that they are bigger. That's life. The second issue is limiting where the big kids play.

I really don't agree with the position set out by this law suit though. I have my theories but will keep them to myself.
