Can they replace Ausman? How far are they from GMC contention?

I don't think it will be that hard to replace him, plenty of good coaches in the area. Oak Hills used to be a strong program.

Ausman is replaceable. He was actually their weakpoint the past few years. Trying to coach a certain system. I would recommend the assistant coach John Mirizzi. He has been with Oak Hills for several years and did alot of the coaching when Ausman was the Head Coach. Mirizzi would be perfect for the program.

They have a decent sophmore class. I would give them a few years to re-build the program under a new coach. I would start to look for them to come to the middle of the pack.

Honestly I think Chuck was a little bit overrated as a coach. Playing for him for Cup I wasn't impressed with his style and we were a much better team when he was replaced. Against Oak Hills this year Ausman rarely spoke during the game and it seemed like his two assistants were doing everything. Obviously he had a great career but Oak Hill's problem is their players not the quality of their coach. Not top 6 GMC next year.

His style of play only worked in the 80's and 90's. They had the players the past 2-3 years but had losing seasons. Alot of it had to do with the style the were forced to play.

I agree, he seemed too fixed on the tactical aspect of the game instead of encouraging any kind of flare and individual skill. You're right this obviously worked ten to fifteen years ago, but playing under his style sucked and seemed to restrict the ability of not only myself but my teammates as well.
