Sports Illustrated has released their national rankings. It starts off very predictable - #1 Southlake Carroll, #2 Miami Northwestern...... . But when I got to #20, I fell out of my chair - #20 Texarkana Arkansas High - the bitter rivals of Texarkana Texas High (the one you have all grown fond of thanks to the author of this thread).

Don't get me wrong the Razorbacks (yes - the University of Arkansas had to ask the high school for permission to use the razorback logo) have a nice team. But the 2007 addition would get slapped by the 2006 addition of Texas High which I think was in the top 100 teams in the country last year directed by Ryan Mallett.

By the way Toyota is sponsoring a high school spotlight show of which highlights will be shown at halftime of the NBC Sunday night football. The Arkansas High vs Texas High rivalry game will be featured. I suspect it is incorporated into a Toyota ad.

Mater Dei finished FOURTH in its league last year
