Nothing really shocking here. Three clear top pre-season candidates for the eventual national #1. One or two of them will drop off early depending on the results of the Herbie and the MNW-SLC game. SLC and X (assuming they win) will still face MUCH more daunting tasks than MNW in order to go undefeated.

How about this for a shocker? There is a reasonable chance that SLC starts the season 1-2 over their first three games. Obviously, the SLC/MNW game could go either way. SLC then has to play on the road at Rockwall 5 days later. Rockwall is very good this year. If SLC loses 2 early, I still think they have a great chance to win state in Texas. Their defense is new so they may still be working out the kinks early in the year. The important thing is that they are ready by week 11 when the games that really count begin.
Having said that SLC could go 1-2 to start the season, it's equally or even more likely that they start 3-0. It will be fun to watch.
X will face DeMatha and then Glenville an then defending KY big school champion (and Fab 50 ranked) Trinity. Fun.

Concha, are any of those games supposed to be televised nationally?
