Dorian Vauls (CJ) is having an excellent summer as he will challenge Sam Jandel for #1 golfer next year at CJ.

Sam will still be number one!!!! Other than qualifing for the US Junior what has he done.

Optimist- right on cut line
Junior Met- shot 75-80 on a rather easy course

Jandel is still going to be the #1 guy, obviously Vauls is playing pretty well but Jandel is on another level

You're probably right. CJ should have a strong team this year.

actually justin won the qualifier and finished well ahead 75 80...and from the article it sounded like he was going to try to go big DI and not to take anything away from him but theres a good handfull of players out of cincinnati who are alot better..plus jandel

No....just an old man who's been around. My primary sport is basketball. I remember Dorian when he played aau. I wondered where he went and heard he was concentrating on golf. So every now and then I check his progress. Sorry to disappoint you.:Ohno:

You REALLY sound like a hater. A funny hater though:Ohno:

And if you read my statement, I said I knew Vauls...not Jandel. So as far as babysitting goes...next joke!!

So anybody that has an opinion that disputes yours is wrong. Get back with me when CJ wins the GCL.....Here's a little more that backs my statement: The DDN seems to think so as well.

Ones to watch

Michael Day, junior, Brookville: Fired a 77 at district, just missing state. Course management and accuracy are pluses.

Jordan Higgins, senior, Vandalia Butler: Had a sub-par junior year, but is ready to reclaim his sophomore touch when he was sectional medalist and helped the Aviators reach state.

Sam Jandel, junior, Chaminade-Julienne: Big hitter and All-Ohio player claimed the GCL, Hadley Classic and Fairmont Invitational. A force in the state D-II medalist chase.

Jace Striplin, senior, Centerville: Helped Elks to state in '06. Built momentum for the prep season by playing well on the summer junior golf circuit.

Dorian Vauls, senior, Chaminade Julienne: Enjoyed a breakthrough summer, qualifying for the Optimist International and U.S. Junior Amateur.
