They think they have something special in the water in Florida - Big strong fast athletes Texas, Cali, and Ohio have them too.

Looks alot like MNW vs Belle Glades actually I think La Marque runs their offense better (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IuMqOMzQZVs&mode=related&search)

Another shot of La Marque

Bonus stuff (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ro_wv2egnTU)

We got bigger fish to fry right now.

Even in the time of struggle for these kids and familes. You texans and other continue to pour on the insults. When does it stop. Miami Liberty City's Miami Northwestern Bull's have taken enough insults already from around the nation. Now they are seeing what lakeland felt going in to the state game last year. The feeling that every one in the country hates your program. I think its time to stop. That was not good feeling last year. Right now the smallest thing can make or break the whole team.

What are you talking about?
I seriously doubt anyone associated with MNW is reading Yappi - I have no affect on them. I will proceed as if everything is a go.
Speak for yourself -

Is the same thing the whole country did to lakeland last year. And you guys continue to pour it on. Just sit back and wait as see what happens. Because while you are typing about some team running the offesne they run better. They are wondering if they will even play next year. You better tell wasson he got a gift. And wont have to play MNW after all and may need to find a new team to play.

When I made the post that got you into your little tissy, I was not aware of the pending situation at Northwestern. So go cry to someone else.

This would not be a gift to SLC if the game does not occur. Everyone wants to see this game and the SLC players want to play MNW.

The only positive that may come of this is that MNW will not have to travel to TX and come home embarrassed. Oh wait -

I did not read any insult in Ridge's post. Not sure what insults were poured on. I went and read the "News" on Miami Northwestern. I do not see how their problems were caused by "the nation".

If any apologies are in order they are from Miami Northwestern to Southlake Carroll and the rest of high school football. Southlake Carroll stands to lose a football game due to the lack of institutional control at the school. High school football stands to lose future matchups between schools with national exposure. There have not been too many nationally televised high school games. This can not sit will with sport networks.

Maybe Todd Dodge had it right - why play out of state teams.

Yes, because no such issues have ever occurred in the great state of Texas.

You have here what's called an out-lier. I seriously doubt that the doom and gloom repercussions you predict will play out. There seems to be more interest every year in seeing big-time HS football match-ups on national or regional television, thus more money. If the sports networks have had no idea about allegations surrounding MNW, then that's their fault and they deserve any programming problems that might come with this because they haven't been doing their jobs. I doubt that's the case here.

Never. When you schedule teams in your region you know which coaches have ethics and those that don't. I am not naive to think it couldn't happen in any state. But national games being scheduled and not occurring are not good for the game.

For Texas teams, they schedule games on a two year cycle. 2007 is the second year of the cycle. If MNW game does not occur, they will more than likely have a 9 game schedule. It is doubtful they can pick up a game.

You are right, if people don't do due diligence on the teams they schedule, it is their fault. But who is going to keep up with 12,000 high school programs? This has not been a good year for national match ups. The OhiovsUSA is holding on by a thread and run by a questionable promoter. Just as Evangel who has an open date on their schedule. Why would an out of state team commit to come to Cinci in 2008? Good chance the games won't happen and the promoter has a history of reneging.

12,000 teams aren't playing on national TV. We're not talking about ESPN missing a yard rushed or tackle made by a team from a remote village of Alaska. This is a major national program that has had suspicion surrounding it for months. If ESPN (I'm assuming they were going to carry the game?) isn't keeping tabs on the participants of a game upon which they're likely investing millions, then they're going to get what's coming.

Not 100%.. but they look pretty freakin' close. MNW had a better passing game and more size on the interior d-line. That's about it.
