Springfield will basically be starting from scratch, in 4 of their main Sports next year.

Football Coach-resigned after the 2006 Season. New hire, Immamarino will start the 2007 Season.
Boys Basketball-Coach Andrick resigned. No replacement hired yet.
Boys Baseball- Coach resigned. No replacement hired yet.
Girls Softball- Coach resigned. No replacement hired yet.

That is very interesting. I know football has struggled, but aren't the other 3 sports doing well?

Could this be a reflection on the financial situation?

Tough times in Springfield. What a shame. I believe that there is hope, though. I believe the atheltes are there, but they need ot get them excited about sports again, and THAT is hard to do when the parents and community are constantly shooting down levies. While I do not agree with the way the schools are funded, until the idiots in Columbus come up with something, you gotta fund the schools people. These kids are the ones that are suffering.
