Great!! PRomote a bunch of guys who continuously put all motorists at risk with their assinine stunts on the local highways!! LEt's promote the way these guys zip up and down the highway weaving in and out of traffic popping wheelies!! This is what we want to let our youth see! Way to go Springfield, you keep on amazing me!!

Why not invite former Buchtel head football coach Claude Brown to speak on loyalty in marriage and being a sexual predator! Or that Barberton guy who has 28 DUI's on his record about what not to do if you have had too much to drink yet need to drive home!

Chill out Bank. If you don't want your kids to watch, don't bring them. The performance will be in a controlled environment with Police in attendance.

Your comparison to Claude Brown is way off track.

Irish87-Bank trolls Summit County forums and posts asinine and insulting comments. Just ignore him.

Good luck to Springfield, that community needs something good to happen. I wish them well.

No, Tha Bank thinks this post is right on point, and accurate! You are trying to set a good example for kids, and yet you are having some of these idiots that ride these bikes on our highways breaking laws and driving wrecklessly in and out of traffic at speeds in excess of 100 mph perform for the youth? Incredible! Of course it will be a controlled environment when they perform, but how di they get their name out there? By doing these ridiculous antics on our highways that Tha Bank and his family drive on!

Like I said, why not let that drunk guy come and pound a few dozen beers, let him drive around the parking lot in a "controlled environment"? I see no difference!

I agree Springfield needs something good to happen, but the only thing I see coming from this activity is one of these fools on the bikes to kill themselves in front of a bunch of young kids. DO you think that is a positive thing? Well, it would mean one less of those fools on the highway, but I do not see it as a positive, no matter how you spin it!

I agree with the Bank. 1st- They are not 'World Famous". That comment made me chuckle. 2nd- These guys drive recklessly on our HIGHWAYS. It's poor judgement having them do any demonstration for kids.

I heard their basketball coach, baseball coach, and softball coach all resigned within the past month. Is that true??? That sounds like an athletic program in disarray.

That district is a nightmare right now.

I respect both of your opinons. Thank you for your comments.

I did not hear about the Softball or Baseball coaches resigning, although it wouldn't surprise me. It is true about the Basketball coach. I have not heard a reason why, yet.

Word is, they will still have fall Sports, as pay to play in 2007. The Levy will be put back to the Voters in August, I believe. Spring Sports is still up in the air.

The Reakon Urinal reported about a week or 2 ago that Andrick resigned because he is going to concentrate on getting his Masters Degree. I would think he could pursue his higher degree while still coaching, but maybe he sees the future and the potential of the levy passing as nearly zilch, and thought he could get out and maybe be an assistant somewhere in a better financial situation.

the festival was awesome the star boyz were very cool and i think the worst influence on these kids now a days are narrow minded adults who always seem to make the worst out of every idea that is not thier own. your point was taken bank but your comments are old school. this new generation has different interests than we have and as a parent i reach out with all the tools at my disposal. if it would have been a motocross show in the 80's we would have loved it and our parents would have thought it was irresponsible this was under controlled conditions just like any other stunt show would have been.

LIke Tha Bank said, why not let some drunk pound a case of beer, get behind the wheel in the parking lot and drive around. It would be a "controlled" environment, but the reality is, these people do this out in public, NOT in a controlled environment. There are so many other things to bring out that would be pertinent to entertainment than these jackoffs who ride their motorcycles on our highways popping wheelies, speeding, and weaving in and out of traffic. It has no bearing on "old school" mentality, it has to do with what do you want your kids to look up to, a biker who pops wheelies and speeds down the highway, meanwhile breaking the law?? If so, Tha Bank can truly see why Springfield has gone down hill so far.

My point has been and will remain to be, these idiots on bikes are known for one thing, and one thing only....breaking the laws on our highways. Why would anyone want to bring attention to this, especially at an event like this trying to promote youth football with a bunch of kids around? Pointless. Tha Bank figures that the drunk guy from Barberton with 27 DUIs was too busy to perform.

Bank,

you need to practice what you preach. I see time and time again, you making prejdudice and im-mature remarks about H.S. Cheerleaders. What kind of example is that? Keep in mind, many of the Cheerleaders you make comments about, could and are, under the age of 18. There's a name for that type of person who makes comments about under age girls, but I wont go there. Stop worrying about who sponsors what, and focus on growing up a bit. Your comparison to a 27 time offender of DUI, is way off base.

I think Sprignfields problems, run a little deeper, than having a Motorcycle Stunt group, perform at a festival.

Yes, Srpringfield's problems run very deep. My comments on cheerleaders and mommies are what they are, for humor and to make this site fun. Tha Bank doesn't recall his comments ever causing any accidents on the highways, breaking any laws, or Tha Bank claiming to ever be a person to be the end-all role model. But Tha Bank has seen these jack nuts on motorcycles zipping in and out of traffic, popping wheelies, and running at over 100 mph down Route 8. Now, if these guys are what you want to put out there as people to look up to for the youth of Springfield, so be it. What Tha Bank says is that there are many more people and groups of skaters, skateboarders, and talented people in this area that they could have gotten to perform at this event than these guys that break laws.

As for the DUI guy, why is that so far off base? These fools on motorcycles drive at 100 miles an hour weaving in and out of traffic. This guy does the same thing in a car, probably a lot slower, only he has had a case of beer. Why are they different? Neither is anyone that teenagers should be exposed to, especially at a youht day!

Tha Bank has made his comments very clear, if you can't grasp them, that is your problem.
