Coventry fan reaction

Interested in hearing what fans who were at the Coventry loss last Friday thought about the game AND the conduct of players, coaches and officials during the JV, Varsity and after the game???

Enlighten us as to what happened. Those of us who were not there would like to know.

Well...let's see...

JV Game:

Player from SHS and CHS get into a scuffle on the far sideline; One of Coventry's Varsity coaches runs onto court to break it up while a student section member holds back the SHS player. SHS player and the Varsity coach (not sure if he was the head or assistant or what) were ejected immediately. Soon after, both teams were warned again by the refs. I forget if there were any technicals in the JV game, but I'm sure somebody remembers. I believe there were also some , shall we say, "interesting" calls made against both teams or missed completely.

Varsity Game:

4 Technicals during the game, two on Coventry players, 1 on the SHS Bench, and 1 on an SHS player. Two were called at the same time if I remember correctly, the one Coventry player threw the ball in frustration, and Andrick wasn't happy about a blocking foul. The Ref heard one sentence and T'd him up. It was actually the first time he'd gotten off the bench the whole game. I think that all happened in the first half.

There were a lot of SHS players picking themselves up off the floor during the entire course of the game (but we kinda knew that would happen because Coventry is very physical). Players were getting Tomahawk chopped, basically, and would subsequently lose the ball. In the closing seconds of overtime, SHS called a timeout with about 2, possibly one second remaining, but the refs didn't blow the whistle until .5 seconds remained. Andrick went over to the refs and pleaded to add more time to the clock, but none was added. Capan through up a nice shot that hit the backboard and nailed the rim, but just bounced out.

Fans:

I can't really comment on the conduct of the fans, really, since I was paying so much attention to the game. I too would like to hear what was going on with them.

Now, please understand that I',m trying to recall all of this off of my head. I haven't seen the tape yet on Channel 15, so I haven't been able to refresh my memory. Please feel free to add to this or correct me. I'm sure there's more to this then what I mentioned.
