Just like last year, Springfield loses to Kent Roosevelt at home. I do not know what it is about this team and Kent roosevelt at home, but the life jsut seems to get sucked out of them. They played really really sloppy and had a lot of turnovers. Springfield got it to within 11 at one point in the 4th quarter, but then they just...stalled out. They were down by 22 at one point in the 2nd or 3rd quarter...I forget now.
Springfield, depending on how the other PTC-M teams do, will fall to either 2nd or 3rd...possibly 4th. Every team in the PTC-M has at least one league loss now, so it just matters as to who beat who with the single-loss teams. Springfield lost to KR, Ravenna beat KR, and Ravenna hasn't played Springfield yet. Norton and Field have 2-2 records before tonight, so they are pretty much out of it (at the moment), while Coventry, Southeast (1-3), and Crestwood (0-4) can be counted out, but can be counted as spoilers.
I guess we'll jsut have tos ee how the scores fall. Springfield plays Coventry AT Coventry next Tuesday. JV Starts at 6 PM.
