Pack Rat 24

Final score from Field:
Springfield - 79
Field - 55
Game Notes:
If anything, the biggest note for Springfield is that the entire Varsity squad scored at least one point. Field just lacked the ability to control in transition, and Springfield capitalized big time. Springfield had its biggest lead in the 3rd quarter at 33, and was able to hold field to either 4 or 8 points after the first quarter. I forget exactly. Foul counts were low at first, but then they picked up. First half had a technical on Field's coach for battling with the ref's call on a play, and then the second half saw a double-technical from the looks of it. Nobody around me was quite sure what happened, but both teams got 2 shots from the charity stripe. The only thing I could think of was the two student sections got too rowdy for the ref's liking. It was getting pretty bad, yet funny at the same time. I don't know how to explain it best.
Springfield's record now stands at 5-1, with a 3-0 record in the PTC Metro Division. The team travels to Crestwood to take on the Red Devils next Friday. The team has next Tuesday off. After that, the team doesn't play until January.
