Not at all. His swing is as smooth as anyone out there.

no way in hel1. wake forest is one of the top golf schools in the country. alex martin was the best golfer from cincy in awhile, and he is going to Indiana which is ranked 46th in the country by golfstat.com. Wake is ranked #11. NO way in hel1

actually i think that you could argue that kyle hodges may have been better than alex.

alex volpenhein was miles ahead of even alex martin and could have pretty much gone anywhere he wished.

good point. hodges has been struggling big time in college though, actually mike beau has done much better at X. how have volpenheim and a-mart been doing in college

vopenheim hasnt even finished a true season (spring) of golf in college. way too early to tell.

unfortunately (if you didn't already know) beausanjour broke his hand and was redshirted this season.

Volpenhein has finsihed 7th, T11, and 34th in his first three tournament as a Wildcat. He has played in all of Kentucky's Tournaments.

Martin has finsihed T51, and T24 in two tournement with the Hoosiers. Alex has played in one of four tournaments for Kentucky and competed as an individual in one other.

skins99, I don't think it's to early to tell anything at all considering Volpenhein has had more success in his first three tournaments than any of the other mentioned players have had in their career. Volpenhein is probably on of the Top 5-10 Freshmen in the entire NCAA.

Ryan Dirkess aka "Dime bag" would be my pick for top golfer and dealer in the favc. He qualified for state and made a grand last month on "Dirkess Dimes" alone.

I think Chris Burger should get player of the year how solid is he 74 in sectionals and districts

cincygolfer1234
11-02-06, 04:22 PM
if you want to go on scores in postseason events poy should be mark reinhold from moeller (75-sectionals, 72-districts - 1st, 78-82 state - 11)

thenewcardinal
11-03-06, 09:34 AM
yea but what place did he come in gcl

cincygolfer1234
11-04-06, 05:43 PM
I don't know what place he came in exactly but he was first team and he may have beaten burger. Really if you arn't POY in the league it doesn't really matter if you finish 2nd or 5th as long as you still make the first team.

thenewcardinal
11-06-06, 09:27 AM
burger came in secound by the way and yes it does matter if you win first team is good but winning or secound is better

cincygolfer1234
11-06-06, 03:37 PM
cardinal, i hate to break it to you but id say that 4th or 5th in the league, 1st at district, and second team all-state is better than, finishing second in the league, and out of contention at state. Also cardinal originally you said you would give it to burger for his 74-74 at section/district while reinhold shot 75-72 at sectional/district. Do the math 147 is better than 148.

What is wrong with all of you? You know nothing of true golf. True golf is exemplified in players like Brian Knodle. Do some research, fools.

Oh, and the entire St. X golf team needs to stop popping their collars. As long as they do that, all of their players are socially disqualified from any award, except "Tool of the Year," which could be shared amongst all of them.

is this jealousy im sensing? if this isnt jealousy, i dont know what jealousy is then.

How does that even hint at jealousy? I make a comment about St. X players being tools because they pop their collars, and you say I'm jealous. I think you're confusing the word "jealousy" with "superiority."

lilbrave05

honestly, they probably pop the collar because they know they get a reaction from you guys.

it must be the team stretches and chants before you tee off.

sergio
11-09-06, 06:36 PM
what team doesnt stretch before they tee off? i wasnt aware that we chanted either. but you obviously know more about stx golf than i do so i guess im just going to have to believe what you are telling me.

whatnow
11-09-06, 06:42 PM
x is the only team i've seen make a big deal about stretching before teeing off, and certainly the only team i've seen do jumping jacks beforehand also

sergio
11-09-06, 06:47 PM
you actually do seem to know a lot about st x golf. either youre on the team, unlikely bc you are making fun of us, or you pay way to much attention to us while we are warming up. id be embarassed too if i couldnt beat a team that does jumping jacks to warm up.

floman
11-13-06, 07:30 PM
Just because we are not so self conscious to care about doing jumping jacks at state doesnt mean you have to hate. I would like to see you do 10 1 minute bridges in a row with 10 second breaks Labor Day morning at 730. Sorry were stealin yo girls with our defined abs but we can't help it.
