Springfield split with Manchester over the weekend. C and A won, but JV and Varsity lost. There looked to be a serious injury to a Manchester C player on the last play of the game. I heard it was a head/neck injury as the Ambulance was called. I hope this young boy is ok.
C preview- The score was 12-6, but Manchester made this an exciting game as they drove down the field with less than a minute left, but stalled on the Springfield 5 yard line as time expired.
A Team- won 19-0 in a hard hitting game. Excellent blocking was performed by Keith Jarvis and Shane Robinson, which enabled Tyler Moran to score on 2 long TD runs. The 3rd TD was punched in by QB Jacob Kitchen. Defensive standouts were Ryan(JD) Bennet and Nick Woodsziz.
JV lost, but I can't remember the score. I think it was 12 or 18-0.
Varsity lost 26-6. Springfield could not get anything going. Manchester dominated on both sides of Line of scrimmage. Seemed everytime Springfield got the ball, they had horrible field position, backed up against their own goal line. Manchesters Offense was simple but effective. They powered the ball off Tackle and Springfield could not stop it. Springfields only score was made by RB, Devante Sherman on a 45 yard run.
