Springfield vs North scrimmage

Springfield will scrimmage Akron North tomorrow(8/12), at Springfield H.S. at 10:00AM. Not sure what North has this year, but they usually have decent speed. This will give the Spartans a good indication on how well they match up with the "speed" Teams.

Scrimmage went well for the Spartans. First teamers scored 2x's and only gave up one. The running game for Springfield was impressive, although the passing game needs a little work. QB was rushed and the timing wasn't there when he wasn't rushed. Defense still has a ways to go. They look to be, a bend but dont break, kind of Defense. Give up big chunks of yards, then hold once the opposition gets close to scoring.

I'd like to see them open it up a little this week against Waterloo. The passing game looks to need the most work and this would be a good opportunity to spread it out and see what you got. We'll see.
