Such a strong lineup that Boom Herron didn’t even make the team. When he left Ohio State, he was a top 10 all-time rushing Buckeye then had a decent NFL career. He was #1 all-time rushing for WGH, I believe, until Bowden came along.

I left a LOT of monsters off, including a few guys that made it to the NFL. Sheesh!

Kind of a tough exercise since a lot of times, players play primarily one position in high school but play where they are better suited in college. If I were to create an all star team to win games using Princeton players in that time frame, it might look like this:

QB Mike Daniels, 2003, Cincinnati
RB Spencer Ware, 2010, LSU, NFL
WR Johnny Long, 2004, Akron
WR Jeff Duckworth, 2009, Wisconsin
WR Jordan Hopgood, 2009, BGSU
WR Elijah Ball, 2015, Ohio
OL Paris Johnson, 2020, Ohio State
OL Aaron Brown, 2006, Virginia Tech
OL Dearius Young, 2012, South Alabama
OL Ashton Hood, 2009, Lehigh
OL Malcolm Jones, 2008, Tennessee Tech

DL Darrion Henry, 2020, Ohio State
DL Jamal Hines, 2017, Toledo
DL Anthony Shoemaker, 2009, Miami OH
DL Jahlil Croley, 2012, BGSU
LB Jaheim Thomas, 2020, Cincinnati
LB Dwayne Woods, 2009, BGSU
LB Jimmy Freland, 2001?, Wofford
CB Darren Barnett, 2002, Michigan State
CB Jarrell William's, 2004, Kentucky

** some of these guys may have played college ball, I just am not for sure **
There have been multiple better linebackers than Massie. On that same team even, Fulker. A couple years later Butcher, and most recently Shoop and Burton.
Where is Bair? I think you may be getting him and Brumfield confused. Also Schricker was a completely undersized dominant force.
Also, Critchley was good but to put him on this list is a bit confusing. There have been guys in the last 5 years alone that are overall better players. Maybe Zach Boyer or another undersized guy, McDonagh. Foster also played Corner, you could argue he could be there and another VERY good safety like Hammond, Armstrong in his place.
Good start though, I’ve been watching Troy Football for almost 40 years...this brought back a lot of memories!

I'm sure I'm forgetting some guys, but here is what I'd have for St. Edward:

WR Ken Battiston - Eastern Michigan
WR AJ Lovin- undecided (class of 2020)

Kept it to kids who went on to play in college (plus Finfrock), but arguments could be made for kids who went another direction: Tyler Brown, Alex Byrkett, Zack Byrkett, Zac Shields, Jesse Simpson, Stefan Deeter, Tim Dues, etc. I know I have a few kids both ways, but this is small school ball, and when Evans played QB and Safety for the Hoosiers, I think he belongs. ;)

Pretty darn close to what I came up with. I would swap Render or Peitrowski with Ryan Keenan. I put Crawford with Nakamura at Safety, plugged in David Dowell at corner, and had Andrew Dowell move to Linebacker. My linebackers would be Nate Oliver, Ryan Mirando, and Andrew Dowell.

Keenan slipped my mind at DE, maybe because he moved to the o-line in college. Great player for sure. The backers and secondary were difficult as many guys transitioned to different positions later on in their careers. Mirando was a great LB who moved down to the line at Indiana. Dowell moved to LB in college. Crawford played just about everywhere in the defensive back seven for the Eagles. So many great secondary players over the years. I had a tough time leaving off guys like Abounader, Oliver, Warfield, and others. Hankins will go down as one of the best linebacks as well, but I didn't include any guys still on the team.

They weren't recruited from anyone, schools don't own children. They aren't property, they are human beings.
I never said that. Explain to me why Hoban recruits kids from Youngstown and Canton? That’s not even in their own diocese, what is wrong with those kids going to Canton Central Catholic or Cardinal Mooney those teams are no slouches. But those teams are typically filled by athletes that have chosen to receive a Catholic education for most of their K-12 careers and whose families have attended those schools for generations. My issue is bringing in students as Juniors and Seniors that is pure and simple recruiting and totally tips the table in the private schools advantage as no other public school with the exception of Massillon can get away with it.

If the parents choose to send their kids to any school of their choosing, why is that person's business but their own?
