Who were your favorite athletes when you were a kid?

For me, there were two groups, when I was under 10 years old and when I was over 10 years old:

Under 10:
Charlie Spikes - Indians
Lawrence McCutcheon - Rams
Elvin Hayes - Bullets

Over 10:
Miguel Dilone - Indians
Eric Dickerson - Rams
Jeff Malone - Bullets

Before 10, honestly I doubt I had access to sports. Maybe Bart Starr. I recall being a fan. Wouldn't know why. Looked at a few rosters in the local college and do not recognize having known (at the time) any of them.

I didn't really watch much sports on TV as a kid and never liked listening to games on the radio.

So, none.

When I was under 10 Frank Robinson was my favorite Red. I was pretty sad when he was traded to Baltimore figuring I would never see him again. That year dad was transferred to Armco in Kansas City. In the summer of 1966 we went to a KC A's game and they were playing Baltimore and I got to see Frank again...
