Bobby V is a garbage manager and Youk isn't the only one that has had problems with him. The Sox getting next to nothing in return and eating most of his remaining salary for the season makes me think this was a move made because of the tension between Valentine and Youkilis and NOT because of rookie Middlebrooks. Hopefully Valentine is the next one out of Boston...
