Yordano Ventura dies in car crash in Dominican at 25

Royals pitcher Yordano Ventura died in a car crash in the Dominican Republic on Sunday. The tragic news was confirmed by his agency, ISE Baseball, and was first reported by ESPN. Ventura was 25 years old.

Ventura burst onto the baseball scene in 2014 with the Royals, going 14-10 with a 3.20 ERA and finishing sixth in the American League Rookie of the Year Award voting.

Former MLB infielder Marte dies at 33

Former Major League infielder Andy Marte died in a car crash in the Dominican Republic on Sunday. He was 33 years old.

"Words can't express the emotions from the loss of our client Andy Marte. Gone too soon. A great person on and off the field," Marte's agency, J.M.G. baseball, said on Twitter.

Sad story, but I remember Ventura as a head case as well. He was actually about on his way out of KC last year because he's been in some fights with other teams after hitting batters and I think his KC teammates were getting tired of his antics as well.
 
Talented kid dies in a car wreck and two guys on Yappi still want to be negative and call him a head case. Get some perspective guys.

I suppose you had the world all figured out at 25? You were totally mature with no issues to work out?
