There he is! Wondering where you've been, old friend.

They help. The mandate, though, is to prevent your infectious particles from entering someone else's body. Ask your doctor. She agrees with me.
Paul, I was there, you were not. My point stands. I will give you credit for making the call, no matter how pathetic it appears.

Further down in the article

"Many people have claimed that chronic respiratory illnesses — like asthma and COPD — would make it too difficult to breathe through masks, but according to doctors, that isn't the case.
"I have a pulmonary clinic where I see patients with advanced lung diseases, and everyone wears a mask and can breathe," Cooper said. "People with respiratory conditions should wear masks because they're the ones we especially don't want catching COVID-19."

I still read this as the physicians recommendation. But, I’ll take your word for it. This is source is more timely than mine from July and I certainly believe the exempt conditions would be fluid as we learn more about the virus.

So, was the doctor lying to you or Paul?
My doctor told me that masks DO NOT stop infectious particles from entering one's body. That is what she told ol' Paul, too. Give gramps credit though, he followed through. Nice job, Paul. We now have quite a story to tell. You'll have to lie when telling it, but none-the-less.

most true statement on here hahaha
TBH, from my own experience, I’ve probably seen more incidents requiring intervention at sparsely attended events. That type of setting allows fans to more directly interact with players, coaches and officials.

Congrats. You’ve proven a point that has nothing to do with the topic.

No, you're not allowed to calmly agree with me based on reading an article or move on. we have to have different opinions that we're entrenched on and begin calling each other names and continuing to escalate this and never drop it until one of us dies. That's how yappi/internet arguments work.

Is that what she told Paul?
Stay with me. I'll do this one more time.

My doctor told me that masks do not prevent infectious particles from entering one's body.

Whomever Paul talked to said (based on Paul's post) "the mask won’t totally prevent the wearer from contracting Covid".

We good here? I'm not sure how else I could break it down for you.

The Logan Police Department issued a press release that states...

"Officer Smith was walking in the stadium and observed a female sitting in the stands without a mask, he approached the female and advised her she needed to put her mask on as required by the school policy. The female advised that she had asthma and was not going to put it on. Officer Smith advised the female several times that she needed to put her mask on, and that if she did not, she would be asked to leave and would have wait outside the stadium. The female continually refused his request and Officer Smith advised her that if she refused to leave, she would be cited for trespassing and escorted off the property."

The bolded part, if the asthma claim is
If she “truly had asthma” she wouldn’t have walked the distance of the parking lot to the stands wearing a mask in the first place.

This...100%. That's why I'm skeptical. If she had asthma, she should have been firm in her convictions and showed up at the game without a mask and declared she was exempt. But she didn't because she knew she wouldn't otherwise be able to buy a ticket. To do this I see as disingenuous.

Homework and credible sources go a long way for me. It’s like sweet whispers in my ear lol

Says who? You’ve been proven to be not a credible source by many on here.

Ive been dabbling on the Debate forum with this crowd......they say crazy stuff, then declare victory. Which is why I’ve just taken to slinging and insults over there because it’s more fun. They don’t care about being credible.

Maybe. I think that's true of a lot of police interactions with citizens though. But this is the one time certain demographics have their panties in a bunch when somebody gets arrested for not complying with police orders. Otherwise, their default position is just "comply with police and you have nothing to worry about."
If I’m the superintendent or a board member I don’t care about the ‘certain demographics’ you speak of. I care about my staff handling this in a way that doesn’t escalate it to the crapshow it’s become. The lady appears to have been in the wrong, but it likely could have been handled better.

Nor, do I care if they are. I have no problem calling it out. It is entertaining when people expect all to just take their word for it. Because every system in America runs on just because I said so? Lol

You're moving the goalposts. At first it was masks aren't effective. Then it was masks aren't effective in preventing infectious disease from entering your body. Now it's "masks won't totally prevent the wearer from contracting COVID."

Those are all different things. And virtually nothing is life is "totally" effective. And, as has been stated multiple times, masks are more effective in protecting others from the person wearing the mask than protecting the mask wearer from others.

Your point doesn’t stand. Thanks for the credit, but it wasn’t that hard. What’s more disturbing is that you sent me a phone number, which a quick google search provided the name and address of your doctor. Also, it gave me a rough idea of the area in which you live. Following that, you offered someone else your GI doc's info. It wouldn’t take much for some lunatic to find you. Fortunately for you, I’m not a lunatic. You should be more careful on the internet my friend.

First, that’s not exactly what her office said. She said it helps. Secondly, this wasn’t your original argument. Try to keep up.

Paul, I am not hiding from anyone, including "lunatics". Moreover, Paul, and really, the more disturbing point here is that you called my doctor. You, a stranger, called my doctor. Think about that. You took the time to call my primary care doctor in order to try and win an internet squabble. SMH. I think it's fair to say that you need a hobby, old friend.

Hey, also, my wife, who is currently studying for her Master's in nursing, and manages multiple doctor's offices around town, agrees with me too, that masks do not prevent Covid-19 from entering one's respiratory system. Dare I say the words, Paul?

Might have been talking about cheap cotton ones. N95's certainly do. They've been around for decades and that's what they're for. We have been wearing them in our shop forever and nobody ever complained about their freedom.

No one complains about their freedom, until it is too late.

Do me favor, when the really hits the fan, don't look to folks like me for help. You can stand out in the street with the other statists, chucking rocks with a fresh load in your pants.
