WK 10: Massillon (7-2) vs McKinley (6-3)

Watching the Illinois-Mich game with the Red Grange unis made me think of that video of the old days of this game. Do it.
 
I always looked forward to this game, after all, it is one of the longest and more popular high school football rivalries in the US. I have only missed 3 of them since I was old enough to go to the big game. I missed 2 while in the Navy and 1 during Covid. I am going this year but I no longer get excited about the big game as it has become a one sided affair. The rivalry has lost it's importance and McKinley's program has lost it's way. One can only hope that the rivalry becomes relevant again.

Well having your football team run out and through your own band is not the way to do things or help build anything worthwhile.
 
This is right now and why we're one of the best teams in Ohio.

One can argue if he's a good coach or not but He does care about the program and bleeds red and black.In reality they have had a ton of coaches since 2006 and that is the last time Mck was relevant and any threat whatsoever in the playoffs. All they do is whine over there about Hall , but this is only his 4th year. What's there excuse for the other years since their decline??? It sure hasn't been all Hall, can't be every other coach in the last near 20 years.
 
Mckinley will lay down in this game , forget about the play off's after the band deal theres alot of bad blood on the home front
 
Not buying that Mckinley lays down. They will circle wagons. Like FW says we need to squelch any chance of hope early then I could see maybe they lay down. They jump out on top or it's close at half then it's a game.

yeah mckinley fans complain about their coach more than anyone. i know you tigers have gotten on past coaches but your current guy is the best since paul brown at Massillon. when he started posting four horsemen memes i was like this guy is a real one. poor antonio hall.

I hope we are prepared for anything they can come at us with. With Halls job on the line I can see him having something no one seen all year, like Nino at QB in a wildcat package.
 
Over 90% of the home side is sold and just about all of section 13 and 14 is sold. But yeah lots of everything else is available and both end zones. Curious to see how it goes through the week. Maybe there will be a lot of walk up sales, weather looks decent as of now.
