Will Trump Try to Pardon Himself, His Family Members, and Convicted Members of His Campaign/Administration

Yesterday, Drumpf pardoned his proposed Cabinet appointee (Gen. Michael Flynn) who had voluntarily pled guilty to a felony, then tried to withdraw his plea, when it came time for his plea bargain sentencing.

For those here (presumably most) who are not lawyers nor convicted felons-- the WHOLE point of a plea bargain, is that YOU agree to plead guilty to a crime in return for (hopefully) receiving a lesser sentence from the judge in your case-- you are NOT ALLOWED to renege on your guilty plea, when it comes to the point of the judge sentencing you--it is essentially breaking the whole deal that you had agreed to, up front.

There have been numerous rumors about whether Trump plans to issue full presidential pardons for the (many) members of his campaign and "administration" that have been convicted of crimes (e.g.- Paul Manafort, Roger Stone, Gen. Michael Flynn, George Papadopoulos) or are currently under indictment (e.g.-Steve Bannon); there are also numerous rumors (some originating from Trump himself) that he has plans to pardon himself and/or various members of his family and inner circle (e.g.- Ivan-Ka, Donny Junior, and Eric Trump, Jared Kushner, Allen Weisselberg [CFO of the Trump Organization]) preemptively, to prevent federal prosecution for various alleged crimes (i.e.- tax evasion, obstruction of justice in the Mueller investigation, collaboration with a foreign power in the 2016 campaign, violations of the federal emoluments clause, etc., etc.)...
........

If I were Trump, I would do it just to watch the left pitch a conniption fit. I think he'd still have to deal with any state investigations, but they would lose steam knowing he's out of office and not running again. Similar to all of the caterwauling and feigned indignation shown to other national politicians that are accused to prevent election, but inevitably they dry up in the winter.

Hopefully Trump slips quietly into the night. No criminal trials. The nation needs to heal and move on from the last four years.

It is interesting from all of you law and order guys that you have no issue with pardons.

Not only should Trump pardon everyone persecuted because of their support of Trump he should declassify and dump on the American public EVERYTHING to do with the attempted coup and Hunter Biden's financial shenanigans.

Transparency baby - it's a beautiful thing.

and grassy knoll and area 51. He's our last chance..

Seems you gals need some time to heal, four years of sky screaming takes it’s toll ?

I think Trump should pardon Joe and Hunter Biden right now of all previous Federal crimes.

The President should have a clean slate when entering the White House and not have to worry about a politically motivated criminal investigation. The last 4 years we have been put through an ordeal that no President should have to endure. The political gamesmanship has risen to a new level with Pelosi, Schiff, and Schumer.

Clever YAP . I see what you’re doing here lol. A couple questions . When did these federal crimes occur ? What was the crime ? And why haven’t they been dealt with already ? Why did they get a pass the last few years if they occurred a while back ?
Lastly you need to be pardoned of something . What would he be pardoning them from ?

He needs to declassify everything to do with the JFK assassination...and of course just what is at Area 51.

The Grifter and his family will be pardoned.. However awaiting them are a series of state and local lawsuits in addition to civil suits. Rump and family will be in court if not jail for a few years. If you think the fraud at Trump University and the Trump Foundation was funny, you ain’t seen nothing yet.
He'll never see the inside of a court room let alone jail.

It was a complicated situation. No surprise you are confused by it.

Should Grump pardon Hillary? ... wait four years later she is still not locked up ... I thought if he was elected he was going to "lock her up!"

Obama/Biden adm., 0 indictments, 8 years.
Trump adm. 212 indictments, 4 years.
Nuff said.

Those 8 years Pubs investigated everything they could get their hands on. Over and over, ad nauseam. And will again. And probably just as successfully. That's fine. Please spare everyone the phony bipartisanship. Btw will "blanket immunity" and "absolute power" still be a thing after Jan. 20, or didn't they think far enough ahead?

Stone, Flynn, Papadopolouse Page Will get paid millions each for what was done to them.
It'll be difficult for those who accept pardons to seek damages. Accepting a pardon is tantamount to an admission of guilt; which would complicate any claims they may try to bring.

Fabrication of evidence and changing official documents to secure a conviction or confession is a crime and they were caught red handed...Page is first up suing for 75 million...he will get paid the evidence is clear.

Carter Page wasn't pardoned.

Not confused at all— for the umpteenth time, a Drumpf associate (either campaign or administration) was convicted of a felony— and was about to be sentenced to jail time— and, with typical disregard of the rules of the process, THIS particular convicted-felon Drumpf associate tried to subvert the process, after the conviction, late in the game, where such tactics are not permitted... it’s a LOT like Drumpf’s efforts to subvert (and overturn) the rules of the process for electing a US President, after the fact of the election—it’s unfortunate (for Drumpf) that no one is going to issue Drumpf’s 2020 presidential bid a “pardon”— because that bid is on its way to the cooler for (at least) four years...

It was good thing (for Flynn) that Drumpf pardoned him... it’s unfortunate (for Drumpf) that there won’t be any such guardian angel to do the same for Drumpf, when he faces conviction for tax evasion by the State of New York.
