Here are some great numbers and stories from the Class of 2018

Graduation on May 24th concluded our 59th school year and our students achieved major accomplishments in Academics, Arts, Athletics, and Campus Ministry. Some highlights include:

- Academics

o Scholarships: 67% of the Class of 2018 earned academic scholarships totaling $27 million

o ACT: top third of graduating class averaged 30 (out of 36) on the ACT

o Military Academies: three students admitted to prestigious Military Academies (West Point and two at Air Force); currently have 12 students at the three Academies

- Arts

o Art Scholarships: 15 students in Class of 2018 earned record $5mm in scholarships

o Performing Arts:

o Band: program almost tripled in size from 23 (2016) to 64 students (today)

o Theatre: two successful musicals including, You are a Good Man, Charlie Brown and improv shows

- Athletics

o Teams: three State Champion teams in basketball, ultimate frisbee, volleyball; track won GCL (1st time in 14 years) and tennis won GCL (1st time ever)

o Individual: Jake Thompson won State Championship in wrestling (189 pounds)



- Campus Ministry

o Community Service: students conducted +28,000 hours

o Service Trips: 67 students led service trips to El Salvador, Guatemala, Appalachia, Cincinnati, Uganda, Indiana, New Mexico

o Retreats: ~90% of seniors attended KAIROS
