Sorry I offended you, however, I don't need a character lesson from you but thanks anyway. I simply asked because I watched the young man play the last regular season game and the first 2 playoff games. I was really impressed with the way he played and conducted himself on the field, especially for a sophomore. I was hoping it was nothing to serious that I would impact his future. I simply asked a damn question
We were all wondering. You’re an excellent fan . There’s one in every crowd.

Oh you say all the medical interventions are passed off to family private insurance?

so you say that their kids are participating in public school district activities that are certain to cause a certain number of serious injuries, and the people making profits off the activity don't have to worry about the medical costs of injuries being inflicted in this educational extracurricular and the public has no right to know the extent and severity of the injuries?

that's interesting that you think that way.

and I said potential for abuse. you do agree that there is at least a potential for abuse by self interested adults who have no interest in the long term ramifications of said injuries and medical interventions?

or potential causes such as performance enhancing substances abuse being promoted by the adults in the background?
If you aren’t willing to accept the fact that injuries happen in football than maybe your child shouldn’t participate. If you are concerned about your tax dollars paying for players injuries than maybe you should move to Canada. WOKE!

nobody was offended.

I'm simply stating the prevailing reality about injuries.

that information is none of your business. it's kept secret from the public.

It’s a broken collarbone. He’s out for the rest of the season. It happened towards the end of the Struthers game. He’ll be fine long term. Thanks for caring.
I don’t think it’s about caring. It’s more about Data collection for leverage with NIL, Coaching, Rule Changes, and control. The problem with general wide brushed rules is what’s needed for one district could become a hindrance for another that already has self imposed guidelines up that don’t go to far and used for nefarious or alternative reasons than they claim. Enjoy high school football while you can, it not a necessity although I think some ppl believe that it is a career choice. Maybe for .05% Hope we don’t ruin it for the other 99.5 % that can handle their own business.

that number and organization are intended for reports of familial abuse and don't have any jurisdiction regarding institutional abuse under auspices of education system.

the topic here is reporting of injuries and medical interventions being kept secret by vested interests caused by participation in publicly sponsored entities, to which the public has a right to know.

familial abuse cases are protected by confidentiality rules, in order to protect the innocent.

in this case, the secrecy protects the guilty. this is about PUBLIC business, not private familial abuse.
What the hell are you talking about?

what the heck are you talking about? I am just a dumb old retired factory worker who has truly enjoyed high school football since the early 70s. You are way to smart for me so I will just bow out of this conversation. I honestly have no idea what your message meant.

There is no valid reason to keep injuries incurred, and the medical interventions applied to get the kid back on the field, from the public.

period. the teams aren't vying for any prize. there is no prize for winning a tournament.

umm because it is in the vital public interest to know the extent of injuries being caused to minors participating in school district endorsed and sponsored activities.

the public also needs to know the costs incurred and medical interventions being applied to heal the wounded so as to be able to re enter the activity.

plainly and irrefutably, the public has a right and a duty to know these things, so as to curb potential abuse of minor children participating in extracurriculars which are justified completely by the educational values of the activity which again, are the only valid justification for this or ANY extracurricular.

the public has a right to know all of these things, being the funders of the education system in Ohio. through the Ohio Dept of Education which by the way, stands mute and keeps arms length of the entire scheme.

which also needs to change. in my opinion.
Maybe he got hurt off the field ? Then do you have the “right” to know. Player didn’t play in street clothes that’s all you are entitled to know .
