This is the first installment of my "Mahoning Valley NCAA Report" for the 2024 college football season. While my main goal for the site is to promote Warren G. Harding football, this project gives me an opportunity to shine a light on the collegiate careers of all of the area's young men.
If anybody notices any names that are missing (I'm sure that there's quite a few) or if you have any additional information, please let me know ASAP. Thanks in advance!

Nice job! I like to see good news in the Valley. Last news I heard was the Trumbull hospital closing and thousands of jobs lost. It sometimes seems like the Youngstown/Warren area can’t catch a break, so following some of the area young folks in college is a nice positive.
Also, I watched the WGH vs McKinley game and was impressed with the progress already evident as a result of the new coach. There is plenty of talent on the team. Once the coach has his program firmly entrenched I have a feeling R5 will be a fun place for the Raiders every November.

I recall, from old photos only, Harding’s leaping Panther being slightly different. My memory could be failing me, but my old programs are all packed away so I can’t be certain. Need to dig all those out someday.

After the game, Perry head coach Zach Slates said the following to Mike Popovich of the Canton Repository…
“Lake (Perry’s opponent next week) is going to be a whole lot better than Warren. We have to get it figured out. We have seven days to do it.”
Given the fact that Perry outscored their 1st two opponents 52-0, you’d think that Slates would show more respect to a team that drove the
90 yards on their game-winning drive.
Not to mention that Perry’s left offensive tackle jumped their snap count several times last night while the refs ignored it (I have the footage). Personally, I’d be more concerned with that than throwing shade at Harding.
I told Mr. Slates about himself on X.

The Warren Tribune doesn’t even have a write-up on the WGH/Perry game online. What a joke. Assuming nothing in print either. Pfft.

Thank you! On my end, it's a lot more motivating when my efforts are encouraged and appreciated from within harding's program. I can't tell you how positive things have been around here lately.
