Walsh has 5 rising seniors with D1 FBS offers.
Milan Parris 6-5 200 WR 2nd Team All State- Iowa State commit, offers from Wisconsin, Purdue, Kentucky
Jay Brewer CB- 8 offers including Ohio U, Miami OH, Bowling Green
Colton Crosley OL 2nd Team All State- 8 offers including Ohio U, Toledo, Bowling Green, Miami OH, Toledo
Caden Carter LB 3rd Team All State-10 offers including Ohio U, Miami OH, Bowling Green, Marshall
Grant Blaschak S- 6 offers including Miami OH, Bowling Green, Toledo, Buffalo

That's the most players with D1 offers in a single class for the Warriors. The previous high was the Class of 2000 with Sam Ruhe (Penn State), Ryan Robinette (Eastern Michigan), Dan Basch (Akron), and Dennis Thompson (Ohio U).

Parris comitting to Iowa St surprised me. I heard Kentucky was a lock.

Congrats to Walsh senior McKenna Shane on her OHSAA State Championship Gymnastics in the Uneven Parallel Bars. She beat 35 other girls to win the title. McKenna committed to be on the Acrobatics & Tumbling team at Belmont Abbey College in North Carolina.

That's Walsh's 68th OHSAA Individual State Championship in 10 different sports.

Warrior grads Ryan Feltner and Dominic Canzone started spring training earlier this month.

Feltner is a starting pitcher for the Colorado Rockies. He looks to build off an excellent 2nd half of the season. He had a 2.98 ERA and held batters to a .227 batting average over his last 15 starts. Ryan signed a 1 year, 2.275M contract earlier this year.

Canzone is an OF for the Seattle Mariners. He hit 8 HR last season.

Why was the Walsh vs Toledo Central Catholic game 1 next year in football changed from opening at Walsh to now the game is in Toledo? Is Toledo coming to Walsh in 2026?

Not really sure why that was changed but with the change I would assume TCC would return the favor for 2026.
That would put Watterson, Ursuline,TCC, and Hoban on the schedule for 2026. At the end of the 2024 season, those teams were ranked #3, #8, #11, and #15 in the state according to Drew Pasteur’s Fantastic 50.

The idea being floated by one poster that WJ was afraid to play the #17 ranked team is too ridiculous to even respond to.

Eds vs. Walsh anytime soon???

Or is that too far fetched
I could see those teams playing. StEds has problems scheduling because they are such a power every year. They play many top out of state teams along with the best teams in Ohio, Toledo Central Catholic, Massillon, Hoban, Cincinnati Moeller just to name a few.

I am not sure but heard the kid is pretty good. I think it's going to come down again in region 5 to Walsh or Hoban. They may play twice again. I have heard people say Nordonia and Hudson are going to be really good and challenge Walsh and Hoban. I will believe it when I see it.
I agree. Nordonia and Hudson are both in the "show me" zone for 2025. Nordonia was senior heavy and Hudson, while not senior heavy last season, lost about 4 to 5 pieces that they have no way to replace with kids that didn't already start last year.

They haven’t played since 2002. They have played the past few seasons at the freshman level though.
I think a series will start in the next few years because of the state of the OCAC. I don't think it's (the conference) going to happen, it just doesn't make sense on a practical level (similar reasons why Eds/Ignatius haven't joined to create a "super" GCL). Both teams will be looking for games, and the logistics just make way too much sense. It already does at the freshman level as you noted.

Saying there's a gap between the schools football programs is only because of recent success at Eds. That tells nothing about the futures of either program. Walsh is a premier football program now in Ohio, absolutely in the top tier of the state. With basically everyone making the playoffs absent a disaster of a season, these kinds of games will be the only thing keeping the regular season interesting.

Abby Knouff ‘21 is competing for Cincinnati at the NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championship this weekend.
Her event is on Saturday.

She was an All American last year in Outdoor Track & Field and has improved on her school record in the PV 3 times already this season.

Pretty decent schedule fr definitely a gauntlet

As a Hartley supporter I look forward to the new partnership with you guys in the new league and on this years schedule. You guys have a great team and program and hopefully we can have a hell of a game when we meet! Best of luck!
Thank you. Good luck to Hartley as well.
I know Walsh has played Watterson and DeSales in the last 5 years but I don’t think the Warriors have played the Hawks in the entire playoff era.

Abby came in 11th earlier today in the Pole Vault to earn 2nd Team All American Honors.

She’s becomes Walsh’s 17th multiple time NCAA D1 All-American.

Slightly off topic but I noticed Walsh used to be called Stow Walsh Jesuit and now it is Cuyahoga Falls Walsh Jesuit. When and why did that change and happen?

Good question. I have no idea why, but when I attended in the 80s, it was always referred to as Stow Walsh Jesuit. Right around 1992-93 it changed to Cuyahoga Falls Walsh Jesuit. Again, no clue why.
